Not to pick a fight but you are going to tell me it never existed? And that all four other references called to the situation in WP never had to be corrected?2603:8000:D300:3650:C896:8524:E457:4714 (talk)
- If there was a typo that was corrected, the comment on the talk page that there was nothing to be done is correct. I don't know what else you might mean; you will have to be more verbose (and not revert comments) to explain it to me. Walsh90210 (talk) 23:35, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
If it was corrected then that is what should have been reflected in the notes. It was not and if it was then the process is flawed. Now i am led to believe that you are better versed in WP. That is great. but if the appeal of WP is for everyone then everyone should be able to maneuver through this process. hat is not always possible. Okay your sensibilities are upset.2603:8000:D300:3650:C896:8524:E457:4714 (talk) 23:44, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Where are you seeing this spelling error? You posted to Talk:2024 Summer Olympics, but the article does not contain the error you are complaining about...so where is it? --Onorem (talk) 23:54, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your concern but it has already been corrected. Maybe this has something to do with the way that certain processes are done in WP that are generally not known to the community at large otherwise all editors would upon finding a typo through search be able to locate that typo easily and correct it themselves der normal actions. There does seem to be the issue of locating things when subparts are brought into articles. The original posting was identifiable it appearing in about five articles and all but one corrected by another editor that was able to maneuver through the process. If it at present cannot be found in the article or that the action was taken then that is a flaw in WP that maybe should be addressed.2603:8000:D300:3650:C896:8524:E457:4714 (talk) 00:02, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Soccer Slammers, you may be blocked from editing. Do not change the title of a reference if it accurately reflects what the source says. CodeTalker (talk) 06:23, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- And since has it been WP policy to not include translations? Please provide the source. A review of WP will show it common to include translations particularly when words may look misspelled by those not familiar with the other language. Is not that logical? Sorry if this is found to be disruptive. Otherwise I would be led to believe by the tone of the message that is it contrary to WP policy.2603:8000:D300:3650:C896:8524:E457:4714 (talk) 09:11, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Translated titles of sources are included under the 'trans-title=' parameter, not in/replacing the original language title. See this example on the template for cite web. Waxworker (talk) 12:14, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
