Drmies, Melcous, here's another bio that's been tended for maybe 15 years by COI accounts. Not the worst, but feel free to have a look. And very happy holiday! 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 01:45, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you both. Cheers, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 04:38, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- And thank you, Bbb23, [1]. I went to a final warning rather quickly, but they really earned it [2], [3], [4] leading up to [5]. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 04:43, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
What makes the Reuters incident noteworthy?
[edit]The Reuters addition smells like an agenda section [6]. Would appreciate your thoughts, Drmies, Ohnoitsjamie. In the history of journalism, this hardly rates mention among ethical misjudgments. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 04:55, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, good point. Also, I hate it when people write with initial caps. As I hate USC being up on Notre Dame. Drmies (talk) 01:10, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, given today's Iron Bowl, I figured you'd be in good spirits, Drmies. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 01:11, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- I am, and thank you--but I want MORE. I need ALL these top teams to lose. Ha, and Georgia gets to play GA Tech... My OSU colleague's last text contained an expletive that was restated by autocorrect and I haven't heard from him since, haha. Drmies (talk) 01:17, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, Drmies, for the further cleanup at journalism ethics (I hope that hasn't become an oxymoron). It looked like a lot of the sloppy editing was done a few months back by a student on school assignment. I saw that OSU had their lunch taken today. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 01:28, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- A&M is looking good, haha. That article, I think it has always been bad, and that's kind of a shame. It can show off the best of what we can do: solid secondary sourcing from books and journal articles to show an overview as well as a history--but it's all recentism, organizational crap, Western-dominated. Shame. Drmies (talk) 03:01, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

Drmies, have a look at this when you have nothing better. Edit warring since September over 'transphobic'. My take is it's not a WP:BLP violation, since a lot of sources describe Rowling's views this way. Whitewash? Also, are the IPs related? Your thoughts welcome. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 17:16, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
Sigh. Any thoughts on this, Drmies? Cheers, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 16:27, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, I have some thoughts but they're not good. Maybe Sitush knows what to do with it! Thanks, Drmies (talk) 16:54, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sitush appears to be disengaged from Wiki. I've reverted, Drmies, but anticipate this will continue, and may end up requesting more eyes at ANI or elsewhere. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 18:40, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- Incidentally, there's been a bit of disruption and socking at this and the related (Raghunath Mahato) in the last few months. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 18:52, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
Late night horror--when you are online and have the time, Drmies.....I would pare this to the bone. Mostly promotional and unsourced, but if I take a knife to it, you know. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 05:55, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- The long term COI must go back over a decade, and includes some ancient copyright violation. I'm going to ping Diannaa as well for that. Just one long hot mess. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 06:15, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- The current version looks okay from a copyright point of view. — Diannaa (talk) 12:09, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, Diannaa.
- Another Wyandanch, New York... Drmies (talk) 15:37, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, but at least it's a hell of a lot better sourced on the whole, Drmies. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 15:40, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- True. But if you see what I'm plowing through right now, that's some first-class promotional editing. I have barely scratched the surface: the deeper dive is in the edit history. Unbelievable, but not unexpected. Drmies (talk) 15:58, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Heading out now. Will revisit this later. Cheers, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 16:08, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

No emergency, but another one that could profit from more attention, Drmies: Destrehan High School. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 15:00, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, high school articles are generally low-hanging fruit, Drmies. Did you catch any of the USC game last night? Utah played like a beast. And I don't know who can beat Georgia right now. That's the extent of my NCAA observations. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 00:11, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
New Topic
[edit]Hello, Drmies. I got no traction with this user at AIV [7]; see edit history as well as their responses at talk and user page. Thanks, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 16:46, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Gotcha. Sorry. Drmies (talk) 16:59, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. Cheers, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 19:46, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Sure thing. Take care--I'm up to my eyeballs in Sidney Lanier, haha. I should get PAID to read that 19th c poetry. Drmies (talk) 20:36, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Good luck. Though I'm working with experienced and very talented painters, I'll sometimes namedrop old masters that nobody seems to have heard of. Which surprises me, because I know I'm not the sharpest tool, etc. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 20:45, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Drmies, back from block, continuing disruption. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 12:24, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- Done. Thank you, Widr. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 13:46, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- I removed TPA. Insults should be written in proper English. Drmies (talk) 16:30, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, Drmies. I copied their threats, written in English, and an automated filter prevented me from posting them here. Which begs the question, why were they permitted to make those threats at their talk page? Apparently the benefits of holding a registered account extend to harassment. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 18:58, 10 December 2022 (UTC)

Re: AIV report
[edit]My apologies, saw that after I replied. Have blocked. Best, SpencerT•C 06:23, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, apologies unnecessary. I connect the dots in real time. Thanks so much, Spencer. Cheers, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 06:25, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
Drmies, Melcous, more eyes, please. A good quality article under friendly assault by an inexperienced good faith editor. Thanks. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:8D29 (talk) 18:19, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Thank you, Drmies, for dealing with another flaming bag I left at your doorstep. Wishing you all the best for the holidays. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:F43D:C298:4097:A5C8 (talk) 05:32, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
