Hello, The information was originally added by someone else and then removed. It is important for nannies to know that they have access to training even through it is not required. There is only ONE US CACHE Endorsed Training Centre. I provided a link with that evidence directed to the CACHE website. The program was created by myself in conjunction with this training center and is the only US based CACHE endorsed nanny program. The information was cited by non biased sources and registered non profit industry organizations. The International Nanny Association and CACHE are independent sources. This is an important US industry milestone as it is paving the way to turn nanny from occupation to profession. How can we have this information included? The references were cited. I don't think there's any way we can put blatant advertising in the article, definitely not without independent reliable sources. MrOllie (talk) 23:48, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[1] (under past recipients 2004) [2] are both independent and reliable sources, aren't they? The International Nanny Association and the CACHE website? NannyExp (talk) 00:21, 15 January 2022 (UTC) NannyExp[reply]

By no stretch of the imagination are those independent sources. MrOllie (talk) 00:23, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The international nanny association is a non profit organization and CACHE the article and mentions and is sourced in the article? The INA is sourced in the government onet website as well [3] and the occupational outlook handbook [4] Where can i find what counts as a independent source? 2601:19D:480:FA10:D500:89A9:41E1:77AD (talk) 00:30, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody who hasn't endorsed the product you're trying to sell would be a start. MrOllie (talk) 00:32, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The international nanny association does not endorse products. CACHE accredits training programs.... They are a third party accreditor of educational programs... 2601:19D:480:FA10:D500:89A9:41E1:77AD (talk) 00:34, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They're associated, and their statements are self published. Reliable sources are things like major newspapers. Independent sources have no professional association -at all- with the subject. And even with all that, the most we'd write is something like 'training is available', we wouldn't point toward any particular business because that is WP:NOT what Wikipedia is for. MrOllie (talk) 00:45, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They are associated with what? The are an accreditation body CACHE is mentioned under training in the UK section above. Would you update to include "While no training is required, CACHE training is now available to nannies in the United States." Nanny Stella who is listed as notable nanny in your page already, also is the partner of the Nanny Stella training program that brought CACHE to the US. Also, the International Nanny Association offers a credential exam for nannies that is not required but available. I would like to help build this page out with my experience in this sector. Would you be willing to make some updates? 2601:19D:480:FA10:D500:89A9:41E1:77AD (talk) 00:55, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Norland is mentioned and is a business. I would like to see a US version of the UK version. I will draft something and include it here for your thoughts. 2601:19D:480:FA10:D500:89A9:41E1:77AD (talk) 00:57, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In the United States, no formal qualifications or training are required to become a nanny. However, the International Nanny Association was founded in 1985 as the umbrella association for the in-home childcare industry and offers a Basic Skills Exam and a Credential Exam for nannies. Nannies in the United States also have access to CACHE accredited training through Nanny Stella, Inc, the only US based CACHE endorsed training center. 2601:19D:480:FA10:D500:89A9:41E1:77AD (talk) 00:59, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
