Hello, I'm 1997kB. I noticed that in this edit to British Sri Lankans, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 10:53, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hi,

I was reading the article and found a factual error. The vast majority of the Tamils in Britain are Hindus and not Christians as mentioned earlier in the article. I know this since I am from the same community. The above thing looks like a propaganda statement written by some christian religious activists. Please check the reference they have used. It is highly unreliable.

I have had a look into the reference used and it does not mention any thing related to the religious composition of British Tamils. It is an article written by a Sinhalese christian cardinal living in Australia. Please be aware of things like this. The person who has written this should be reported,

Hi, you didn't provided a reliable source for your changes. It doesn't matter you are the member of community or not, but whatever you add should have a reliable source by which it can be verified. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:33, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now it's the same as it was before, you amended it as per your understanding. Without a source it will eventually be removed. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:36, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
BTW I have removed this edit which was added without any source, but unless you provide a source, we should keep this content. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:52, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot keep the second content as well since the reference given was not correct. Please go to the reference and check whether the statement written in the wikipedia page is supported by that particular reference. This is called spamming. The content is highly offensive to members of my community. I will take legal action against Wikipedia if you allow abuses like this. If you need verification check the wikipedia pages Sri Lankan Tamils or British Tamils. These pages have articles written with correct references

Now what you have added has no references at all. Please add a reference to your claims. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 16:21, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
