Request reason:
what? i was 5 years old during that first edit and have never been on those sites which i was blocked for 'editing'. I honestly know who did this on my account and this ip didn't even exist 5 years ago? this computer is brand new and i've only been using it for about 5 days... i've never edited a single wikipedia page ever in my entire life. i'm only a kid and i know nobody else uses my computer... so what is going on and why am i blocked? and that's not even my IP! what the heck is going on?! well actually that IP is my IP backwards but :/ seriously i've never edited wiki in my life

Request reason:
uhm I can't even make a account. I've tried multiple times... also I don't know how to reply with wiki editor... so can Jpgordon review this and reply/can I get an account? is that how it works here? I have absolutely no idea at all.
Decline reason:
The block is indeed a hard block, meaning account creation has also been blocked. All those warnings and earlier blocks have nothing to do with you ... this is an IP address, so others likely had it before you, especially seeing as it's an IPv4 address (it is independent of your computer ... think of it as having the same relationship to your computer as a parking space has to a car). It's obviously been around longer than 5 years, otherwise it wouldn't have been logged in our servers. If you'd like to create an account, try doing it from another computer that might well connect to a different IP. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:27, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
yep, i've come back and as it turns out that's my routers address (I checked the IP of all my other computers...) so all of my computers share that address... so i've read the unblock request page and i've got no idea what to do. i wanted to try requesting an account from volunteers but i don't know if my situation fits that kind of thing. i also don't want to waste anybody's time, so what should I do? I realise that this is like a parking space but I still don't understand how another person used my router? by the way could someone inform me how I am supposed to reply so I don't have to create another request? anyway I think my two options are either request an account to be created by volunteers or get unblocked by an administrator.
Decline reason:
To respond without making an unblock request, simply leave off the unblock request template/formatting and just type a standard comment without it. Yes, you should request an account. 331dot (talk) 08:35, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
