Replaceable fair use File:Sara Niemietz Offical Photo w Guitar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Sara Niemietz Offical Photo w Guitar.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:20, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
S. Niemietz
[edit]Further to our discussion on File talk:Sara Niemietz Offical Photo w Guitar.jpg: do you work for Miss Niemietz? In that case, if your employer is known for such a "professional work ethic" as you say, she might also want to watch out for a more professional approach to editing an encyclopedia article about her. With your recent edits, you have turned that page into a very ugly piece of public-relations-speak, highly promotional in tone and not at all suitable for a serious, neutral piece of coverage in an encyclopedia. Please make yourself more familiar with the expectations of this project before continuing to work on it. For the moment, I've reverted it to an older stage (even though I'm aware that too was far from perfect). Fut.Perf. ☼ 16:19, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- No, I do not work for Ms. Niemietz, I do enjoy her work and began documenting what survives of her references about a month ago. I realize that the Quotation template may be a bit overused and I was planning on reviewing them and the WWWWWH as I re-evaluated how the piece would flow with the references that have been found to still be available.
- In some cases the pictures tell just as much of the story as the reference-able material that remains.
- How would you suggest that we proceed?
009o9 (talk) 17:12, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Just on a side note, if you don't work for her, I'm a bit left wondering why you seemed to be speaking as if on her behalf when you described what she "prefers, for professional reasons", in her article here ([1]). Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:45, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- That industry (Music recording) is very sensitive about retaining and not infringing copyright -- I am in touch with the Artist working with her on this -- My interest is to learn the Wikipedia, but without an interesting subject -- I wouldn't do the reading and have the hands - on. More on your Talk page -- I'll be unavailable till this evening. 009o9 (talk) 21:00, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Studio City Sound
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Studio City Sound requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. NtheP (talk) 20:03, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Note: This issue turned out to be a Wikipedia bot that had identified identical content on the Internet -- it turned out that the identical content was a mirror of the Wikipedia article. 009o9 (talk) 16:44, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Movie poster art for Stetson Street Dog of Park City.jpg. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. As a side-note, by chance I noticed you used the {{request edit|A}} accept template Noununiquenames and I created a while back over at Talk:Ginger_Software#requestedit. It's actually intended for you to add the "A" to the original Request Edit, rather than adding it. Otherwise it never leaves the Request Edit queue. (not sure if that makes sense, but best way I could think of to explain it). CorporateM (Talk) 15:29, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rock & Roll Heart Attack
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rock & Roll Heart Attack requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Rock & Roll Heart Attack
[edit]I have "userfied" it to User:009o9/Rock & Roll Heart Attack. It would be best to get an article for the artist accepted before re-posting it. If you want to know, the two sections snipped were done so because they were irrelevant to the article. One section was on the town the studio is in and the other is about the Michigan Tax credit. Nothing wrong with noting what town a studio is (even encouraged), but you don't need a section about what's in that town. But yeah, lots of people edit lots of articles. LionMans Account (talk) 03:35, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- The location of a movie studio is more than just the building, it can also be about the availability of outdoor shots. For instance a lake and lake-shore that can pass as a California beach, sand dunes, Victorian homes that can be rented as sets etc. Secondly, without the Michigan Film Incentive, the likelihood that a 100,000 ft. film studio would have been funded in Northwestern Michigan is very low, Harold Cronk brought the film industry and employment to his neighborhood. So both sections are very relevant to the 10 West Studio and Harold Cronk success story.
- What I don't understand is why you would blank two sections and then leave the article in AfC for someone else to deal with -- it certainly gives the appearance of dirty pool. Why didn't you just decline the article? 009o9 (talk) 04:08, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Please do not accuse me of having a Conflict of Interest for removing content that stands only to provide visitors to an encyclopedic article a route to a third party download website. Not only does this have nothing to do with a conflict of interest (how on earth do you believe I am directly associated with Lindsey Stirling in any way?), but now this is becoming something much more escalated than it needs to be.
We are having a discussion on the talk page of Lindsey Stirling, and that is all. If you want to start accusing people of irrational things just because you're having a disagreement, when all I'm trying to do is keep an article within Wikipedia's standards, then perhaps it's time for an administrator's mediation before the article becomes an edit war mess.
Please stop adding information to an article while a discussion about such information is in progress on the talk page before a consensus is reached. You were bold in your additions, were reverted, so it's currently in the discuss stage. Let's try to remain civil.~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 04:17, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Mr. Howard, I'm giving you the benefit of doubt and responding here rather than on your talk page.
- You have taken up a provocative and dictatorial stance concerning the edits you will allow on the Lindsey Stirling article. Your unsupported argument of only allowing "Official Singles" in her discography section is undefined and quite suspicious because you also insist that these "Official Singles" must originate from an obscure merchandising website referenced as, "lindseystirling.mybigcommerce.com/music-singles-1/".
- Not only is this a clear violation of Wikipedia:Spam#Source soliciting by attempting to limit the article's content to a single commercial website, when I added a more informative iTunes template to Ms. Stirling's iTunes Discography page in the External Links section, you immediately reverted the edit (as I suspected you would), giving the appearance of being intolerant of any competition with your preferred marketing reference at, myBigCommerce.
- Your dictatorial stance of refusal of allow the addition of other well known works, which are not listed on myBigCommerce, coupled with the fact that you claim to the be creator and author of the current commercial offering at, (Lindsey Stirling (album)), makes your anti-collaborative (deletionsist) behavior all the more suspicious and suggests financial motivation. (Without exception, none of your edits have added new content to the Lindsey Stirling article since, 31 May 2013.)
- How else would you expect me to interpret your behavior? 009o9 (talk) 15:11, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Jan Goldsmith
[edit]You added some details about the the Olson graffiti case to the goldsmith article that I think is not really appropriate to the article, namely Judge Shore's comments and admonitions. They have little to nothing to do with the subject of the article and I think more properly belong in the article on the Olson graffiti case rather than here. Could you explain why you think they belong in the Goldsmith article?Litch (talk) 08:39, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
- I cannot locate the Olsen Graffiti Case you've referenced???. The graffiti case was already mentioned in the Goldsmith article in an unremarkable paragraph about a feud with the Mayor. (I note that a recall effort against the Mayor is in the current news cycle.) The entire paragraph did not even include the name of the defendant, Jeff Olsen, who risked his Liberty testing the limits of his First Amendment and political-speech rights. This was a political-speech case of national interest, as was the number of charges leveled, and the prosecutor's decision to proceed. I simply added the "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How" from published sources. Since the references do not state that Jan Goldsmith petitioned the Court for the First Amendment admonishment, nor the Gag order, I documented the person who ultimately endorsed these highly atypical orders (Judge Shore) to ensure that the reader would not inadvertently attribute these motions to Goldsmith.
- Finally, why are we discussing this here, rather than the Jan Goldsmith talk page?009o9 (talk) 14:24, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Barry Sisters (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WP No Original Research
[edit]This is a clear tenant. You are trying to edit war it back in. I will report you if you do it again. 173.153.3.126 (talk) 00:34, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- The section is a direct quote from testimony submitted to The US House of Representatives. Thus, original research does not apply here. So what is your interest in keeping these facts out of the record? 009o9 (talk) 02:16, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hage has nothing to do with the Bundy case. That is original research. [2] I took you to the board and I hope your behavior is addressed. I warned you and you continued to add stuff that doesn't belong. 174.147.113.160 (talk) 13:38, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Administrators: Anonymous Special:Contributions/173.153.3.126 doesn't seem to have a grasp on WP:OR, but I do note that (s)he seems to know that WP:OR exists. A with quick check of contributions, it appears that Anonymous is attempting to involve other editors in Wikipedia:Meat_puppetry at User_talk:KinkyLipids#Some_good_work.
- The item in question is a direct quote from Congressional testimony, with secondary references. Please see Talk:Bundy_standoff#Vandalism_of_section:_Other_Nevada_grazing_legal_actions and Bundy_standoff#Similarity_to_US_v_Hage Thank You009o9 (talk) 15:56, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- I was asked to stop an obvious personal attack, threat of future harassment, and vandalism on 173.153.3.126's talk page by a different editor, ThePollist, who was given warnings from other editors for vandalism and was blocked. IMHO, I think the issue at the Bundy standoff article is whether the subsection about a separate court case (US v. Hage) should be kept if there are no reliable secondary sources establishing the connection to the Bundy standoff. Without those sources, it's original research to say that there is a connection. The congressional testimony offered as a secondary source does not establish a connection. The other secondary source is published by the John Birch Society's unreliable newspaper The New American. KinkyLipids (talk) 17:28, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- KinkyLipids, I had no way of knowing why anonymous was recruiting other editors, I did not intend to infer that you accepted, just that (s)he was soliciting.
- I don't know who opened the can of worms on the US v Hage case, but it is relevant on so many levels, both occurred over new limitations in the 1993 grazing allotment, both are in the same Nevada jurisdiction, both cases are likely to have been represented by the same contempt-convicted Federal officials. And, US v Hage is a likely equitable remedy to defuse the standoff situation, which won't sit well for those who are hoping for another Waco. I don't see how anyone can justify keeping the indictment in and then try to keep the ruling out.
- I'll dig around for a replacement for the The New American (Google rank 6) reference; however, I'm not sure if the msm will let it see the light of day. I didn't notice any editorial content in the article I referenced and I assume, having that wide a readership, that they are paid personnel.
- Sorry to make you look for another source. We editors just have to get used to looking for consensus sources that usually lag behind our favorite sources. You make an interesting point that both cases result from the 1993 rule changes. There's your direct connection. The stuff about the Forest Service and Esmeralda and Nye counties, not so direct. Keep the focus on BLM and Clark Counties, and it would have less chance of being challenged. I think it's unusual though that Republican-appointed judges from the same court would come to different conclusions if the fundamental legal issues are the same. It would seal the deal if there's a secondary, consensus source about the fundamental similarities of the two cases and about why the judges in Bundy should have ruled the same way as the judge in Hage. KinkyLipids (talk) 19:38, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

- PS, the equitable remedy to the situation would be for Bundy to take the arguments in Hage to the 9th Circuit, and if necessary, to the Supreme Court. If he honors Nevada, he should honor its entry into the Union and recognize the legitimacy of our republic's legal framework. Instead he decided to declare "range war". He should remember the teaching to obey, honor, and sustain the law. He is a disgrace to his people and wouldn't be tolerated in Utah. KinkyLipids (talk) 20:08, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Tiptoety talk 22:08, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- Yes I did a revert, apparently a CBS news affiliate was not a good enough reference. Further, I don't see the word paramilitary any more partisan of provocative than the word militia (11 instances). I thought I had a very neutral condensed timeline, I guess it does not fit the desired narrative. You should see what was there before. Archive
- I forgot about the FAA no fly zone, so there might be some complaints. (Peace) { Discussion at Talk:Bundy_standoff#.22Paramilitary.22_claim. 009o9 (talk) 23:46, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- The notice has nothing to do with the quality of your source, or the content of your edit. It was simply to remind you of the restrictions on place on the article, specifically 1RR. Best, Tiptoety talk 03:07, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Bundy standoff
[edit]Hello 009o9. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Bundy standoff, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: WP:CSD#G10 is only for "Pages that disparage, threaten, intimidate or harass their subject or some other entity, and serve no other purpose". This is not such a page. If you think it should be deleted, take it to AfD. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 11:43, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and hoped someone would fix it Herman Matthews Jeremyeyork (talk) 18:53, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Jeremyeyork I put some comments in the table to help try to make it more apparent on how to alternate the background colors by year. You had a typo, rowsman"2" instead of rowspan="2" so I'm sure the complexity just snowballed from there. Thanks again for the update. 009o9 (talk) 21:14, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- usually I'm real careful about making sure I had everything right but for some reason, I just wasn't getting it. Oh well, thanks a lot though Jeremyeyork (talk) 22:23, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Jeremyeyork I see you seem to keep Richard Marx current, my first article was Sara Niemietz and the universe just seemed to keep widening from there (a bunch of Teen Witch the Musical related stuff and B. J. Thomas). Sara is on A Night Out with Friends and Christmas Spirit, Herman Matthews is her drummer. I guess Marx' sons found her on YouTube and put them together.Marx & Niemietz first vid on Youtube 009o9 (talk) 22:54, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- yeah, I think it was Lucas who found her. She's a really talented singer and I'm surprised we haven't much of her at all. She should be huge right now. And Richard Marx is my favorite singer so whenever there's a new album or song coming out, I'm on top of it. Jeremyeyork (talk) 06:49, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- She's been around the business all of her life, on Broadway, soundtracks. film etc., she's in good hands working under W. G. Snuffy Walden (BMI) and she's not really interested in doing the "Star Search" programs for now. My guess is she is going to have a career like Sandra Bullock's, one day America is just going to wake up and find that she's been the girl next door all these years.
- I really didn't know much about Marx until I started writing about Sara. I always thought "Don't Mean Nothing" was an Eagles tune, I guess because of the Joe Walsh licks. The song is brilliant, a lot of people would have rushed it with a faster tempo, lots of respect for Marx after looking a bit deeper, especially for his compositions. 009o9 (talk) 07:25, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
