Speedy deletion nomination of Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Randykitty (talk) 11:06, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
Dear Randykitty
Thank you for your comments. For the following reasons, the article of Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS) , is not a promotional article:
1. The Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS) is a nonprofit organization and a sub-system of Iranian commission of scientific associations[1] (Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (Iran) ).
2. This association (academy) is an A rank association (highest scientific rank) [2] in Iran.
3. Its board members, consisting of representatives of seven top universities in Iran such as [3]
• Allameh Tabataba'i University
4. A well-known person as Professor Mohammad Ali Sarlak is a member of the Board of this Association.
5. The Similar academies and associations has a page on wikipedia, such as:
The Iranian Academy of Philosophy
American Management Association
6. You did not give me the opportunity to complete the page, but, the necessary Modifications can be done in this article in order to reduce its promotional aspect.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you again and Best Regards,
Mohammad Reza Habibi

- I'm not sure why you are addressing whether or not the article is promotional.. It was not deleted for being promotional, but because it did not "credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia." You need to read the notice about the deletion, and the links provided in that notice. You have given examples of articles on other institutions, presumably hoping that this would provide some argument against the deletion of the article in question, but you need to read Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. - David Biddulph (talk) 18:55, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
Subject: Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS) article
Dear David Biddulph
I am sorry. You are right. For the following reasons, I think the Iranian Academy of Management Sciences (IAMS) is a very important association:
1.The Iranian academy of management science is the only comprehensive management academy in Iran. Other Iranian management associations considered as a subset of this academy.
2.This academy has a central role in disseminating management knowledge.
3.The academy has a scientific journal entitled: Iranian journal of management sciences. This journal is one of the most prestigious management journals in Iran [1] in Iran.
4.This association (academy) is an A rank association (highest scientific rank) [2] in Iran.
5. Its board members, consisting of representatives of seven top universities in Iran such as [3] :
• Allameh Tabataba'i University
6. A well-known person as Professor Mohammad Ali Sarlak is a member of the Board of this Association.
7. The Similar academies and associations has a page on wikipedia, such as:
The Iranian Academy of Philosophy
American Management Association

- I have again moved your new message to the foot of the page, as that is where new messages on talk pages in Wikipedia go. [The only exception is the Teahouse questions page, for reasons known only to the strange people who devised that.] David Biddulph (talk) 20:39, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- You obviously didn't read what I said in my previous message, or didn't understand it. If you don't understand English you may be better off editing the Wikipedia in your own language. --David Biddulph (talk) 20:42, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
