NYyankees51
Hey, I unblocked NYyankees51 (talk · contribs) on an extension of AGF on the conditions that he stick to that account (and only that account) and that he consent to regular CUs to make sure he's not taking the piss. Could you find the time to do a check at random intervals? Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts?
- I'll do my best - my memory isn't the greatest in the world. I'll remove the timestamp from your sig so this doesn't archive. Now, what were we talking about? Waffles? TNXMan
- I appreciate it! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts?

re: unjust 2 day Blocking
Dear TNXMan,
You recently blocked my account accusing me of abusing multiple accounts. and sighting someone called glovepupet. I have not got or had multiple accounts and do not know anyone called glovepupet and feel you accusations total unjust. When I was blocked I was limited to editing my Talk page and wrote you a message there which you failed to reply to highlighting the frivolousness of you actions- you also did not respond to my unblock request. Furthermore, when I issued a Unblock request it was successful but I was told by the admisistrator that they way you had blocked me was unpreventable. May I remind you that it is WP policy to assume good faith - WP:AGF. In addition It might be more civil if you contacted someone before you blocked them and gave them a chance to defend themselves. Also I think you should have long hard think about whether you are abusing your position in your indiscriminate blocking of me.

Dear TNXMan,
I take it that by your lack of response you are admitting you were wrong to block me. It might have been more 'civil' if you had offered me an apology for you actions.

108.67.204.170
You blocked 108.67.204.170 for "Abusing multiple accounts". The user has been evading the block by asking other editors to edit on their behalf. I have explained that this is not acceptable, but thought you should know, as you know more about the background than I, not being a checkuser, can find out. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:46, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for catching this. I've left a warning on their talk page. TNXMan 19:50, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Similar choices of unblock reason
I tried to decline an unblock request at User talk:Rrjanbiah, but you edit-conflicted me. Your decline reason was "Not sure what I'm supposed to see, but what's not present is any convincing reason to unblock this account." Mine was "I don't know what that is supposed to mean, but I know that it does not address the reason for the block." Great minds think alike? JamesBWatson (talk) 15:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed! It's definitely one of the odder unblock requests I've seen lately. TNXMan 15:53, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Semi Protection for Telugu Language Article
Hello User talk:Malaikaran, is making disruptive edits to Telugu Language article. Please take action against that user and also can you put semi-protection on Telugu Language article? Nagarjuna198 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:34, 6 July 2011 (UTC).
- The user has been blocked. I have not semi-protected the page though, as most of the disruption seems to be coming from one blocked user. If more sockpuppets appear please let me know. TNXMan 11:31, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just an FYI Tnxman, I also blocked two more TrueDrravidian (talk · contribs) and Modelmightnight (talk · contribs). He's pretty much copped to these accounts in his unblock request at User talk:Kalarimaster, an off-shoot of which is a discussion at WP:AN. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 11:43, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sure Thanks. looks like Irimbgodal (talk · contribs) is sock puppet of User talk:Malaikaran.98.114.218.85 (talk) 13:06, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Atempo
The information about Atempo's products is both neutral and substantiated by references. Not promotional or advertising. Thanks.

Premiere Stages
So apparently you've been reverting the article for the NJ professional theatre company Premiere Stages down, and just banned someone who pointed out that it's a legitimate and notable company, and all information was sourced. I started that page when I was a Kean student, and I was wondering what the problem is. I'll try to assist in fixing, but I can't see anything wrong with the page as it was. Edmundogg (talk) 22:51, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't banned anyone. You may be referring to Ponyo, who blocked Cdrobot because their username did not meet our username policy. As for the article, Premiere Stages, the material added was reverted because it was advertising. Material like "makes Premiere an excellent incubator for new theatrical talent in New Jersey." and "an ongoing project that explores issues of human rights, social justice, and sustainability" is not permitted in a neutrally written encyclopedia. I would also suggest that anyone editing that article review our guide to reliable sourcing. Primary sources, such as Kean University, are generally not permitted. Wikipedia relies on independent, third-party sources. TNXMan 22:58, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Coolcool. Misunderstood the ban. I'll take those suggestions into consideration and see what I can do to help the page. Edmundogg (talk) 23:12, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Scibaby
Hi. Apparently, Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Scibaby/Archive#07_July_2011 was archived before a belatedly added suspect was investigated. Can you take a look or do we need to re-open a full case? Thanks! --Stephan Schulz (talk) 07:20, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- The added user is Unrelated. I'll post a note to the archive. Thanks for keeping an eye out. TNXMan 11:31, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for doing the same job over and over and over again...! --Stephan Schulz (talk) 16:52, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi. I'm minded to take this user at her word and give her another chance, let her request a name change, and offer to help her with trying to build a better quality article in her user space (I'd start by asking for a list of sources to check for notability). I'll keep an eye on things and will take the necessary action if it doesn't torn out well, provided you're happy with that -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:54, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all. Let me know if I can help. TNXMan 20:56, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm considering unblocking DQ (t) (e) 16:39, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
, and I'm just wondering if there is something that maybe I don't know about this that would affect the unblock. --- I'm pretty sure it's a proxy and should remain blocked. Have you seen something new indicating it's not? TNXMan 20:09, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see much indicating that it is a proxy, aka no open ports at all. (I think that was what it was when I scanned, i'll double check later) Is there CU evidence behind this or is it just from what you see? -- DQ (t) (e) 22:31, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- The WHOIS says it's a hosting provider (advancedcolocation.com), which could indicate that many people are sharing it and could edit Wikipedia through a bash shell. So not a proxy technically, at least not an open one. —Soap— 22:38, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- @DQ- I saw what you and Soap saw (hosting provider) and based on the random people using the IP, I believe it's being used to as an anonymization service. Their site here seems to support this, as it looks like it allows someone to mask their editing by using Advanced Colocation's servers. If there's something I'm missing though, definitely let me know. TNXMan 22:50, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ahh ok, there we go. Ok thanks, I will leave blocked. Didn't see that before. Just for reference an unblock-en-l request brought this up. :) TY for your time. -- DQ (t) (e) 03:58, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jannej
Hey. Can you clarify what Jannej's connection to the rest of the accounts is? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 02:38, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- Replied there. Thanks for catching that. TNXMan 11:27, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
URGENT OUTING
This user has outed me on wikipedia, mentioning my real life name. Please block the account for a longer period and remove the edits which mention my name.[1] This is beyond the pale and somebody should have noticed this. Thanks, Mathsci (talk) 14:53, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've hidden the revision in question, but you should contact the Oversight team just in case. For future reference, an all caps header will generally draw attention, even if it's unwanted- a quiet email may better serve your purposes. I hesitate to block the IP for a longer period, as it was only used today and the user behind the IP has probably already jumped elsewhere. If more problems occur, please let me know. TNXMan 15:06, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. This one too. [2] Please could you block the account indefinitely for the moment and tag it? Thanks, Mathsci (talk) 15:11, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've hidden that revision as well. As I explained above, I'm not comfortable blocking the IP for longer than 72 hours (and IPs are usually never blocked indefinitely). I'll add a tag to the IP's userpage though. TNXMan 15:12, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Rangeblock
Would you mind looking at the revision history for WP:AIV (or my recent contributions, they are a series of reports) and seeing if a rangeblock is possible? Unfortunately, given the long-term abuser involved, it may be impossible, so removing this meesage per WP:DENY wouldn't offend me. Reaper Eternal (talk) 13:00, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- Being handled. Thanks for catching this. TNXMan 13:02, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
Another rangeblock
If you could take a look at the recent history of my talkpage, there's a vandal who's evading autoblocks; could you check to see if a rangeblock is feasible? I intercepted WCGSBoyIsStillAlive (talk · contribs) on the account creation queue as well. Acroterion (talk) 15:53, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- It's technically possible, but, unfortunately, there are (at least) three different ranges and there would be a lot of collateral damage. I see five accounts total (all blocked)- are there others that I'm missing? I'll also keep an eye on your page to see if I can intercept issues as they arise. TNXMan 16:02, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Re-created page, assure you have nowt to do with Brattleby or whatever his name was, apart from him writing on my page saying he was also working on Lincs Villages. I had to remove this continued outing manually this morning which somehow had been left on the page.[3] Please could you clean this up properly? Thanks, Mathsci (talk) 07:29, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
