Classes offered on editing Wiki sites and web sites?

Does anyone know of any classes that offer comprehensive study on editing web pages, such as Wiki sites and the full functionality of Wiki sites (e.g. blocking users, acting as site admnistrators, etc.)?

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:52, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please use these tempaltes to warn vandals before reporting them to AIV. AIV is only for those who have been fully warned and for whom a block is required. You may wish to install Twinkle which can help you revert the edit, warn the vandal and quickly report them to AIV when necessary. Let me know if you need a hand. Thank you, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:39, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I need help. My installing of Twinkle doesn't seem to work. Native94080 (talk) 00:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When I refresh the page using Command-Shift-R on my Mac, nothing seems to happen. Native94080 (talk) 00:55, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is this page that I modified. Native94080 (talk) 00:56, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing much would happen. Try clicking on a diff and you should have a green button, a blue button and a red button at the top, right above the date and time and username. You should also have more buttons at the top of any page- on a user page, they'll say warn, arv, csd etc. Any help?If that doesn't work, try going to special:preferences, click the "gadgets" tab and tick the box next to Twinkle. Hit save and then hard reload the page. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 01:02, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I still need help with Twinkle. It doesn't seem to work, both in my PC and Mac systems. It could be my anti-virus software, but aside from that, it should still work somehow. Advice needed. Native94080 (talk) 07:11, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid that kind of thing goes right over my head. The people at WP:VPT should be able to help you- that's the community noticeboard for technical issues so the editors there probably know what they're talking about! Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:01, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

SPI

Hi Native94080, and thanks for your comments at WP:SPI. I recently handled Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Admiralandy which you filed. I noticed you have filed a few cases with regards to this sockmaster in the past. If you could, please, in the future, file these under the name of the sockmaster, at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Brucejenner, instead of the sockpuppet as you have been doing, this would save a little time. This is done so that all of the cases are saved in the same place over time. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks again, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 09:05, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What is the correct web page coding format for adding a specific sockpuppet under a specific sockmaster? Is it the same web page code as when saving under WP:SPI? Native94080 (talk) 23:26, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I often save under WP:SPI because web page coding instructions are provided there, in addition to the convenient user name entry button which creates the page automatically. Native94080 (talk) 23:28, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just go to WP:SPI as you have in the past. However, instead of using the new name, use the original sockmaster's name (i.e., Brucejenner). This creates a new section, not a new page, so there's nothing different to do. It will just append it to the already-existing page. Other than the place it ends up, everything will look exactly the same. Thanks! --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 04:05, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2010

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Talk:Clowncheese. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
