Uh...
The vast number of IPs getting all het up on the task force page raised my suspicions, and a Google search confirmed that we're being over-run by a bunch of angry anons. I'm fairly sure there's a related AfD template about such discussions not being a !vote and to please read the related policies/guidelines, but I don't know where to find it, do you have any idea? (If you don't want to read the crazy, apparently we're all "Pucktana" shippers trying to oppress the poor Brittana fans. lolforever.) Frickative 23:31, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Ugh. Ridiculous. The template is Template:Not a ballot, I believe? Yves (talk) 23:37, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks Yves, that's the one! I'll add it under the section header, then try to back off the discussion for a day or so until normalcy resumes. (The part of this silliness most amusing me is the fact that Brittany/Santana are actually probably my favourite Glee pairing...) Frickative 23:48, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, you beat me to it, thanks! Frickative 23:48, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- LOL, sorry, it was my 12 hour work day, glad Yves is a stalker! :) We know that the IPs are just weighing because of the link you provided, we can ignore them and just weigh in legitimate discussion, and if necessary, have the page protected till the heat dies down....lol, that's awesome Frickative they are your favorite pairing! :-D I'm hoping for Kurt and Blaine! CTJF83 chat 12:47, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- Kurt and Blaine are cute but I don't think they should be a couple; it's not what Kurt needs at this point. And yeah I did, Frickative; sorry I forgot to mention that here. It is a good idea to wait until the IPs get bored and leave or something. Yves (talk) 19:13, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, I think Kurt needs to feel loved right now. :) CTJF83 chat 22:16, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, but not in that way. Yves (talk) 22:53, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Thank you
Thank you so very much for voting to redirect New Kidney in Town. Now that the discussion has been closed for three days, plot information, as it always is, has been released for the episode, and I am now not allowed to recreate the article. Thank you. Gage (talk) 04:57, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- Says who? Obviously a plot should be more than enough for a stub. CTJF83 chat 12:42, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh Christ, not him again...
RE: post from User:74.12.126.46 On Talk:List of Ni Hao, Kai-Lan episodes:
This guy is a pain. See the talk page of Thomas, specifically every IP edit from December 20, 2009 onwards. Also here and here. As you can see, he's been keeping this up for over a year. The guy's either denser than lead or he's trolling. I was hoping the dumb sum'bitch has finally given up, but this appears not to be the case. If you see an IP trying to name itself Thomas with a link back to that userpage; report 'em on sight. HalfShadow 20:58, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, cool, thanks for the heads up CTJF83 chat 03:36, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
NRHP Scott County, Iowa
Glad to see u continuing at developing the NRHP Scott County, Iowa list-article. Can't answer ur question yet, as it would depend on how much improvement is done. I have commented in some Featured List candidacy reviews though, and this list-article seems like it has a ways to go first. There's no requirement that every entry in a list-article has to be a bluelink, but it does help to have all the articles started, like you are doing. And, I think writing out some short description of each place, for the column now labelled "Summary", would help the list-article. Probably a good intermediate step would be to request a wp:PR peer review for the list-article, once you've done some more improvement. Or u can put it up directly for wp:FLC, and get reviews there. I happen to think the peer review comments are often more friendly and helpful. Hope this helps! --doncram (talk) 18:00, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- I'm gonna try running an off-wiki program using the National Register's NRIS database, to draft material to add to some of the Scott County NRHP articles. In the next day or two, i'll comment at Talk:National Register of Historic Places listings in Scott County, Iowa. --doncram (talk) 20:40, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Semi-protection?
Would you like this page semi-protected until the trolls find something else to do? Acroterion (talk) 23:26, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- Umm...I don't know, a few months ago I would have said yes without thought, but now, my attitude towards IPs has strongly improved. I'd say no at this point, because it appears to be only once a day or 2 that the user removes it. I think right now the best option is to have people watching my page, and quickly revert/block the users. One thing I'm not going to do is remove it though....you never even suggested that, just throwing it out there. :) CTJF83 chat 23:32, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- That's why I asked first - there are lots of watchers here, it would appear, so we can just keep lurking and grab them as they swim by. Acroterion (talk) 23:37, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- LOL, ok. In all honesty, if i was offended/upset every time i was called a faggot or queer, I'd never be happy, so it doesn't bother me at all. As a 3rd option, could the IP address (assuming it is one) be blocked from creating accounts for X amount of time? CTJF83 chat 23:40, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- That's what autoblock does. It wears off after a while, though. We might be able to interest a checkuser in looking at the IP pattern and see if a rangeblock is feasible. Acroterion (talk) 23:43, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- If you feel checkuser is good option, we can do that, otherwise, like I said, don't wanna make an overly big deal out of something that doesn't even really bother me. CTJF83 chat 23:44, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Re: List of Speaker of the House~
Sorry it took awhile to get back to you about your request for clarification; tracking my edits, questions, and suggestions will get easier next month when I create an account. Meanwhile, in the section List of Speakers by state just says "California - 1", for example, not "California - Nancy Pelosi"; if it's going to stay by-the-numbers, list is inaccurate. If we're going to break them out, happy to help. Thoughts? :D 75.203.158.55 (talk) 07:02, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Can you please link me to the discussion you are referring to? I'm not sure if listing all the representatives under each state is a good idea, as it will add a lot to the length of the page, but I am open to discussing it with you. CTJF83 chat 07:50, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- List of Speakers of the United States House of Representatives Probably an easier way to do this. Different IP, still me. 75.204.67.18 (talk) 02:42, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- I think you want this to list each Speaker from their state? I'm not sure that is a good idea, as it will add to the length of the article. Plus if a user is curious as to which 8 speakers are from Massachusetts, they can easily type "ctrl+f" and type in "Massachusetts". I just think adding the names next to the numbers in the states adds too much length and is redundant information. CTJF83 chat 02:49, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Right; it says it lists them, but it does not; it either should, or say it is the number from each state, which it is. It would be redundant, but it would be consolidated, remove white space, and back referencing. Either way. And that's the first I've known wikipedia had a find command. 75.204.67.18 (talk) 03:52, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I gotcha, look good? CTJF83 chat 04:02, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Your request at the Graphic Lab
Hello! You've recently requested an image on the Graphic Lab talk page (here). That talk page is only for discussion of the project. The proper place would be one of the workshops (Photography/Illustration/Maps). I moved your request to the Illustration workshop, you can find it at Wikipedia:Graphic_Lab/Illustration_workshop#Image_addition. Best regards, -- Orionist ★ talk 10:42, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Townships
As you may know I patrol all Iowa's communities and I see you are entering in data for the Iowa townships. First Thanks and then I wanted you to educated me. In Grant Township, Tama County, Iowa you are entered {{|coord|42.268074|-92.600355|display=title|type:landmark}}. My question is instead of landmark in some townships you have entered city instead of landmark, did you just forget this one? Should it be township instead of city?. Also I hope you would consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa/Communities even if it is at Level 1) I am interested in Iowa communities but don't ask me I will help when I want., but hopefully a higher level. Also could you give me some feedback about the page? I respect constructive criticism. Keep up the good work.
--RifeIdeas Talk 17:07, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ya, that was just an error, and should be "city", the default copy and paste on my user page is "landmark" and I forgot to change that one....actually ya, they should prob all be "township" instead, I'll fix them. I'll look over the Communities thing and join in a bit, I feel the urge to eat some lunch right now, lol, so headed to Panda Express and will be back and reply shortly :) CTJF83 chat 17:13, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Page looks pretty good. Not sure the levels are important, because how accurate are they going to be? In the city tables, I have no idea what P1, P2, and P3 mean or I/C scale. Other than that it's a good start! CTJF83 chat 18:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Actually the 2nd part of what kind of editor you are, and such is useful and I like that. CTJF83 chat 18:16, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yea I need to explain the P1 P2 etc. That is why a second or third set of eyes helps to improve a project. The P stands for priorities and the # is the level. This can be seen at Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa/Communities/Priorities and the city tables is to create a system of bringing all cities up in levels of information without people duplicating the work. My theory is each member would "check out a table" and work on that table until all cities on that table have achieved the priority level and record when it was completed. I will work on that explanation soon and place it in the tables 2nd stage header. The I/C is Project Iowa/Project Cities but I may eliminate this as Philosophor has since set up a Category system that does this automatically at least with Project Iowa. The level (I assume level of commitment) is have a basis for communication or asking for participation that is why there is the don't call me level. There is always room for improvement. Thanks for your input.
--RifeIdeas Talk 21:07, 21 December 2010 (UTC)- Ok, I understand now...ya, it is off to a good start. CTJF83 chat 21:31, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
