[edit]

Walint, please do not delete Category:Badminton tournaments, this category is assembly all the badminton tournament articles in Wikipedia, so please don't do that. Thanks. --Aleenf1 14:09, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't do that, people will found very hard to find an article they want, i want to make easy for them, not just refer to other project, but put different category will make people insane to find out, so better assembly into one. I hope you can understand. --Aleenf1 14:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings!

[edit]

Thanks for your interest in my badminton articles. Also, thanks for improving them. I rely on people such as you and my son who can actually use a computer well. i see that we have also been editing some of the same articles. I tend to focus on the players of yesteryear since my own days of competing, at a modest level, were from the 1960's to the 80's. What is your background in badminton? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Badmintonhist (talkcontribs) 02:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Karen Chapman

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Karen Chapman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kannie | talk 15:16, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any website that indicates that they are, indeed, medalists? Kannie | talk 15:52, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My bad. May want to add the 'hang on' tags on both the articles. Kannie | talk 15:52, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry if I'm a bit blunt when saying the following. Wikipedia does not count as a reference. Those aren't external links, those are intra-wikipedia links (or wikilinks for short). Were you the one who took off the speedy deletion tags? If so, you weren't supposed to.Kannie | talk 15:56, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies. I know sometimes I can be pretty rigid, and I have been my whole life. Again, my apologies, and thanks for being so patient. Kannie | talk 16:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Billy Gilliland

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Billy Gilliland, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Walint! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 52 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 98 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spanish National Badminton Championships, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Laura Molina and Rafael Fernández. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anna Lao, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Teeranun Chiangta moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Teeranun Chiangta. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and there are no secondary sources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Timothytyy (talk) 14:25, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Teeranun Chiangta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Despite being an Olympic athlete, it fails GNG and BIO completely as there is zero coverage. Fails NBAD too.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
