Tourism has represented a new growth industry in Peru since the early 1990s as a result of Alberto Fujimori neoliberal reform.[1] The subsequent laws were aim to repealed the Agrarian Reform laws to facilitate land titling through land marking which was essential for the new growing industry. Moreover, the government and private sector dedicating considerable energies to boosting the country's tourist destinations both to Peruvians and foreigners. In 2010 a new initiative from the government came a float to shine the light on tourism by remarking the economical benefits of transforming rural communities livelihoods and landscape into tourist attraction. Initiatives to grow tourism industry have proven tp been successful given the increase of revenue. A world date info report shown that in 2019 tourism generated a total of 4.78 billion USD in comparison to 1995 which total revenue was a total of 521.00million USD.[2] According to a report produces by UNESCO in 2020 a total of 4.4 million tourist entering the country which has ranked Peru as the 8th most visit country in the americas.[3]

Peru's abundance of national land marks, rich history and world leading culinary destination has made the country a tourist hub offering a number of activities for all kinds of travelers. From adventure tourism such as trekking to Machu Picchu or other rural communities, surfing the worlds most perfect left breaking wave in Puerto Chicama (One of the latest tourist attraction In Peru), artisanal fishing, sand-boarding, rafting, 4x4.
