Hi, I'm Nova. I'm named for the cosmic phenomenon called a Super Nova. And yes it is my given/real name. I like to read history books and car magazines. I love sports, especially basketball and a close second football. I am also into science fiction films and TV shows. I just recently finished watching Helix's 2nd season and Twelve Monkeys first on SyFy channel this past weekend. I have traveled extensively through out the continent of Africa over the last 15 or so years. I've been to Great Zimbabwe, Tisitat falls (source of the Blue Nile), Ngorogoro Crater, Robben Island, Elmina Castle, Table Mountain, Zanzibar, Badagary, Oldupai Gorge, The Great Pyramid, The Niger River, Abu Simbel just to name a few. Each site/country has its own uniqueness and helped me understand the various cultures in different ways. I think this is where my contribution to Wikipedia and human knowledge in general can be most useful. I have a view of the world that is not western, eastern, or oriental, I have a hybridized view that can help others see the other side of the coin. This view has bee shaped by my travels, my heritage and of coarse being a native of one of the best cities on the globe, New York. I look forward to editing and contributing to the greatest volume of human knowledge ever collected. Now, let's get busy.
