User:Mox Eden/AELECT voter guide
So, if you haven't heard by now, the administrator elections are around the corner and we have a whopping 32 candidates to vote on! Realistically, not every person can do full in-depth research on all the candidates (given we have limited time to do so). This guide exists to summarize information regarding the candidates so that people can have more informed decisions when it's time to vote.
I'll also tell whether a candidate is content-focused, conduct-focused,[a] or an all-rounder, because some people apparently care about that, I think.
DISCLAIMER: Please do not rely solely on this guide. Despite the fact the creator decides to sort people by whether they focus on content or conduct, she is a heavily content-focused editor who honestly does not gives two craps on what happens on the noticeboards, as she knows full well that it would worsen her stress (and what (hopefully little)[b] cynicism she has towards the encyclopedia). There will be some kind of bias in this. Also, this guide will (mostly) only show raw numbers. It (mostly) does not look into things such as editor temperament, how an editor interacts with others, etc. Please do more research before deciding.

Notes
[edit]- ^ Okay, that one's kind of a misnomer, but it'll be easier for me to remember if they alliterate.
- ^ She does not want to be cynical. Editors who become cynical towards the project tend to leave early.
- ^ I have no specific requirement in terms of edit count. After all, it's the quality that matters, not quantity. All values are rounded down to the nearest hundred.
- ^ If you want an arbitrary requirement, fine. A minimum of 30%, with 40–50% being the recommendation. Then again, I'm a total recluse of an editor who literally has a score of ~75%, so don't take my word for it. Or do. I don't know.
- ^ This counts successful nominations by the candidate, and does not include reviews.
- ^ This counts whether or not a candidate was blocked at any point in their Wiki career. This does not take time into account. It really doesn't matter whether a candidate was blocked more than a decade ago or anything. What's done is done.
- ^ This is not actually based on mainspace edit percentage. Through XTools, I look through a candidate's contribs and divide the total number of edits by the number of namespace categories they have edited. If the number of total mainspace edits is higher than the given average, I lean towards putting them on content-focused, and vice versa. Then again, there are still other factors to the classification, so it is kind of dependent on what exactly that the candidate has worked on.
