In a review done by the United States on pay scale shows that employees in a labor union earn up to 33% more income than those in a nonunion. Not only do they earn more income, they also tend to have:

  • more job security
  • safer and higher quality work conditions
  • additional benefits

Which all applies to Maslow lower level Hierarchy of Needs theory.
