I am currently a Master's candidate studying Geology at Louisiana State University.

Advising Professor: Dr. Philip J. Bart

Thesis Topic:

3-D Petrel seismic modeling of Antarctic Peninsula’s Pacific Margin, understanding Pliocene glacial dynamics through the possible presence of erosional unconformities. Helping to determine whether the specific morphology of the Antarctic Peninsula's continental slope has been the primary factor affecting glacial patterns. We believe that this specific morphology allows upwelling of warm Antarctic Circumpolar Currents to reach the glacial grounding zone, eventually driving the glacial landward. I will be importing 2-D seismic lines into Petrel and map specific packages that may contain erosional unconformities. The presence of these unconformities will help us to determine the Antarctic Peninsula Ice sheet's cyclicity. The most recent glacially deposited diamictite package contains 3 unconformities that date back to 4.3MA.
