Kasare, Dhule
[edit]Hello, I'm Aya Syameimaru!. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Kasare, Dhule at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle☿gab 05:03, 30 December 2019 (UTC) |
Categories
[edit]Please have a look at WP:CATEGORISATION - in short, categories are quite general, you don't need to micro-categorise. For instance you could have a category for interest in the Need for Speed franchise in general, without having separate categories for each game. Also, please add categories to any new page you create, include categories - if they're not linked in to the category hierarchy then humans and maintenance bots can't find them and they might as well not exist.Le Deluge (talk) 11:55, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Too many requests at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests
[edit]You have requested copy-editing of three articles at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, but the page has a limit of two active requests per requesting editor. Can you please remove one of your requests? You are welcome to submit a third request later, after the copy-editing of one of your other requests has been completed. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:11, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I accept this. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 21:11, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. You are welcome to place a {{copy edit}} tag at the top of the article. The Guild of Copy Editors will work on it at some point in the next few months. – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:14, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Skinny Puppy into The Process (Skinny Puppy album). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 15:07, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Well yes, I admitedly did copy text from Skinny Puppy into The Process (Skinny Puppy album). It's somewhat modified, but not fully revamped. I agree, it's not my words. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 15:09, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Hi there
[edit]I noticed you are kind of new so welcome to Wikipedia. In case you interested in the Fate articles, sadly only Shirou's got to GA status. There was once was a Russian user who provided some creation information for the characters. According to him there was potential information to create at least articles for Illya or Kotomine based on their spinoffs but I only did stuff in regards to the leads from the first series and Kiritsugu. Same for the upcoming Heaven's Feel article. I couldn't find anything about it so far in case you are interested. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 17:00, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: It sounds like Mirioki was so dedicated to his Fate character articles. I have to figure out which is the best choice for creating a Fate character-themed article, then party time. I've just tried to fix the Heaven's Feel article. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 20:50, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

Why giving up?
[edit]Hello citizen of Gensokyo! Can I ask you why you removed your request at the GOCE? If it is because it took too long for you, I advise you to keep waiting as some requests may take more time than others. Veverve (talk) 22:17, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- I wasn't sure if I was able to maintain the article easily or not, so I removed it. However, now that I realized that giving up is contradicting my desire to have MechWarrior 2 updated wording standards, I have now added back the request as you can see here: [1]. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 23:16, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "maintain the article"? Veverve (talk) 23:21, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Editing an article prominmently and improving it, that's "maintain the article". I started editing the MechWarrior 2 article because of a tag that told editors to expand the lead section since it needed more detailed description. I fixed the issue, and I now I want it to have GA status, hence the recent edits. Well, now that I'm staying the same as usual, I'll be careful. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 23:26, 14 February 2020 (UTC) (modified on 23:33, 14 February 2020 (UTC))
- Well, until a copy editor takes care of your request, I advise you to keep working on your article if you want to. As for me, I am working on two GA currently for which I requested copy editing (Vulgata Sixtina and Sixto-Clementine Vulgate). Another advice I can give you is to check what the copy editor does: sometimes, they ended up introducing factual mistakes (I do not blame them, it is a tough work to copy edit!). Wait until they are completely finished or until they clearly state they are momentarily not working on your article, then correct what must be. Veverve (talk) 23:41, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks Veverve, now I'm back on track! ;P Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 23:51, 14 February 2020 (UTC)

Re:Monster Truck Madness
[edit]Hey there! It seems like you've done a huge amount of work on the page—nice! I think you're just about in the clear for a GA nom, based on the length. My main suggestion is to drop Gamezilla and PCME from the review list, as I believe those two publications (especially the latter) lack the general credentials needed to establish reliability. In their place I'd recommend the PC Gamer US and PC Games reviews, as both of those come from reliable print publications with long track records. (For more information about PC Games, if you aren't familiar with the magazine, see here.) I looked around for but wasn't able to find any additional behind-the-scenes interviews or previews, unfortunately, so these reviews are the best I've got to offer. Good luck with the nom! Hi Jimmy Blackwing, I'm Aya Syameimaru! I've just recently rewritten and cleaned up the article Monster Truck Madness, which you edited before 2020. I want this to be a GAN. Here's a page illustrating what I've done here: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Monster_Truck_Madness&type=revision&diff=942502778&oldid=928167608 Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 02:06, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

GA nominations
[edit]I'm Aya Syameimaru!, welcome to the world of Good Article nominations. I wanted to let you know that you don't need to edit the WP:GAN page directly to insert your nominations. That page is generated by a bot that runs three times an hour, and when you create the nomination on the article's talk page, the bot will automatically pick up on the template there, and format the nomination for the GA nominations page. (It's best if we leave the page to the bot, so there aren't any editing collisions.) The same is true if you edit the GA nominee template, for example to add a value in the "note" field, or if you're a reviewer putting the nomination on hold. Thank you very much. Disambiguation link notification for February 27
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Monster Truck Madness, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rally (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Preview button
[edit]Hello. Thank you for all your work on Monster Truck Madness, I used to love that game and it's good to see it getting a good article. I just thought I'd suggest the preview button to you, as I've seen you make lots and lots of small edits, when perhaps it may be easier to make several changes at once, preview, and then adjust appropriately. I tend to like having two copies of the article open simultaneously so I can compare an old version. Thanks again! -mattbuck (Talk) 10:41, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
Aya's note: I copied this transcript from his talk page so that it appears the conversation happened on one page:
- You're welcome! I'll use the preview button like what you said. Also, I'm impressed that you've written lots of good articles. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 10:47, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hi I'm Aya Syameimaru!. Thank you for the compliment, I used to have a lot of time spare at work to write articles, not so much anymore unfortunately!
- Rather than having a conversation between two pages, you can notify users you have replied using the {{u}} template. {{u|mattbuck}} returns mattbuck, and will notify me that I was mentioned on that page. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:00, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
