Grove Street Games (formerly known as War Drum Studios) is an video game developer and publisher based in Gainesville, Florida. Founded in 2007 by Thomas Williamson and Michael Owen, the developer, then known as War Drum Studios, gained prominence for remastering Rockstar Games games, including games from the Grand Theft Auto series, as well as Bully and Max Payne.[2]

Philosophy

The indie studio claims that it aims to deliver games with freshness and authenticity, developing a friendly relationship with everyone and making their players happy. They affirm that all people, from all backgrounds and experiences, can feel good and express themselves freely with the company.[2]

Games portability

The first game where the studio was present was Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which was ported to the PlayStation 2. However, it became really known after launching Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Years Anniversary for iOS and Android systems. Below is a list of games ported by Grove Street Games:[2]

In 2021, under the new name Grove Street Games, it was responsible for developing Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, remastering the three classic sixth-generation games in the GTA series: Grand Theft Auto III (2001), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004). It will be released on November 11, 2021 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.[3]
