Don't spend a penny - the beer has arrived
Have an unyielding beer on me.
Let the amber nectar flow all day and night. Let it run down the mountains and through the caverns and across the rich lawns to swamp the streets. Let it rain beer. Let the heavens open and shine forth beer. Let it all be beer. Wonderful beer. And let it be as deep as the heart of a lion.

Thank you for participating in my RfA
I just wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" for taking the time and effort to participate in my recent RfA. As you may know, the discussion closed 66/0/1 and I'm now a holder of the mop. I will keep working to improve the encyclopedia and appreciate the trust which you have placed in me. - Dravecky (talk) 00:19, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Edit summaries
I saw here that you consider edit summaries important. I've run into situations where I am adding a subst:... template that includes its own subject header to a discussion page. When I use "new section" I have to leave the subject/headline blank, which means no edit summary. Sure, I could edit the previous section or the whole discussion page so I can make an edit summary, but I was wondering if there was an easier way. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:14, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- I advocate a near universal edit summary usage. That is a situation where I wouldn't really care, but,
I did a little test, and if you place a space in the headline, it produces an edit summary like this, which does explain that you are adding a new section to the pageactually, now that I look at it, it is no good as it produces a section header as well, so I'll stick with my first statement; nothing can be done about it, so it doesn't really matter. RfA thankspam
Thank you for your participation in my recent RfA, which failed with 61/52/7; whether you supported, opposed or remained neutral.
Special thanks go out to Wizardman and Malinaccier for nominating me, and I will try to take everyone's comments on board. Thanks again for the trust the community has placed in me. A special Christmas song for you all can be found at the right hand side of this message! Apologies if you don't like RfA thankspam, this message was delivered by a bot which can't tell whether you want it or not. Feel free to remove it. What a pleasant surprise, Foxy Loxy! Thank you. If anything, you constructed a bot to maintain {{Opentasks}} and deserve an award more than I do! Cheers! --PFHLai (talk) 17:00, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: AfD closures
Well, in a case where deletion is out of the question, discussion to merge should generally take place at the article's talk page. Cheers, –Juliancolton Happy Holidays 01:02, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Shall I revert my actions? Foxy Loxy Pounce! 01:04, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, it should be fine. I didn't see your closures, but it couldn't have been that bad. :) –Juliancolton Happy Holidays 01:05, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

My bot request
It seems that MrZman's stated concern is actually not a problem. This was discussed tonight in IRC, and MzMcBride (very knowleddgeable on the subject) says API would be a acceptable way to go for this. He has a script that hits the API over 2.5M times in a run, and it does not cause any problem. I would really appreciate your help with this bot, and I think it will be very useful. Thanks, Jerry delusional ¤ kangaroo 00:33, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
