Hey everyone :)

     These things are the hardest to fill it. What's important? jeesh..

I'm the single father of three girls, a political scientist, writer, a singer (bass/baritone), martial-arts enthusiast, skier, deep-blue Democrat, activist, proud citizen of RED SOX NATION, and an unrepentant LIBERAL.

My heritage is French, Irish, English, Native American (Onondaga Iroquois). I've traced my French ancestors back to 1605 in Ile St. Re. (south of Rochelle, France, near the Med. ocean). I am very interested in learning more about my Iroquois ancestors and hope to do so in the coming years. Because of the oral history traditions of the Onondaga People, I'm not hopeful, but I'm going to try.
My Irish relatives started coming across in the 1880's as far as I can tell and I have disembarkation records of some of them when they landed at Ellis Island.

I've recently discovered that I am directly related to Angelina Jolie, through my great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather, Jean-Baptiste Bertrand. I wasn't really surprised, but it was a fun discovery. Maybe I can get a signed photo!
