"She has also studied the interaction of personality and grammatical views." - Overly vague, can be simplified to "she's a sociolinguist who does sociolinguistics", and is thus perfunctory. It requires additional details of the studies she has been involved in, and what variables were factored. The article should also detail findings where appropriate - to say that the practitioner had a aim behind their study is non-informative. Science is results based - this is not philosophy.
