A user building the Mudcat Saunders page included a direct quote that included the word \'fuckin\', spelt \'f***in\'. It is my considered judgment that if the quote was worthy of inclusion, it was worthy of inclusion sans censorship.

The obscenities were not aimed toward the article or anything in it, it was a statement that gave a very common slang nickname used in the area to refer to the highschool.

The article has a heading: \"This article may be too long. Please discuss this issue on the talk page and help summarize or split the content into subarticles of an article series.\" That\'s what I did. History of Vietnam before 1949 can be read in detail on the History of Vietnam page.

I did mess up, though, I should\'ve left the heading that says \"Background to 1949\".

Discussion

I've gone ahead and removed the vandalism warning from User talk:70.16.181.217. Investigation reveals that the obscenity seems to be part of the name of a song on that album. So I think it belongs in the article (under the "Wikipedia isn't censored" grounds mentioned in the false-positive report and in the editor's original edit summary). The censorship took place a few days ago in this edit and it looks like this is the second attempt to repair it (that was reverted by ClueBot). -- Why Not A Duck 21:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I asked him to unblock me and i found out that he didn\'t block me in the first place. I was very angry with him which resulted in me being blocked.

According to NME, \'Shit-gaze\', as it is popularly known, is an emerging subgenre of alternative music that derives from Shoegazing. The label has been applied to bands like Times New Viking, Psychedelic Horseshit and Pink Reason among other bands, and all three bands are notable as per All Music Guide

I rewrote it from a neutral point of view and removed the bulk of the article, which contained things like a large table listing all products made by this company. I also remove many marketing paragraphs that tout the virtue of their products, photos, etc. that have no encyclopedic content.

IMHO, this article really shouldn\'t be in wikipedia at all because aside from their original invention, a high resolution mouse, there is nothing notable about this company at all.

I don\'t think you can correct for this easily, Cobi. The anon was changing \'claiming \"I WAS FOOKIN RIPPED OFF\"\' \'\'correctly\'\' to \'claiming that he \"was fucking robbed\"\'. A misquote - I believe - by the person who added the original (perhaps trying to avoid a revert themselves). [\"Fookin\'\", by the way, is common Northern England working class pronunciation for \"fucking\".]

Dapper dan redirects to the Dan Duryea page yet there is a mobster and a toy that go by the name of Dapper Dan. There needs to be a disambiguation page and it seems that whomever put that redirection was acting through vandalism.

The article cole suprieure d\'lectricit (the old name of the university which is not used anymore) should redirect to [Supelec] (this is since 1995 the official name).

I suppose this problem comes from the french site of Wikipedia where they use the full name articles even if it is not the one that is used: for instance on fr.wikipedia CNN redirects to Cable News Network whereas on en.wp it is the opposite. As this is the english site, the policies of en.wikipedia should apply.

Greetings

There was no intention of vandalism at all and was just trying to put the correct name for others who wanted to download the song just as I was trying to do.

What happened

As per the discussion on the Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign, 2008 talk page, the proposal of this section being deleted was discussed. User Looneymonkey strongly agreed and no other comments in the negative have been received.

This section is being deleted because it is inconsistent with Wiki encyclopedic guidelines, primarily because it has nothing to do with the content of the article. It has become a very non-NPOV section and has become a place where random contributors treat this section as a dumping box of sorts to place their own two cents. Having a random trivia fact that there are so many people in a certain Facebook group against Hillary hardly constitutes Wikipedia-worthy fact.

This report is a FALSE POSITIVE and this deletion should remain permanent. Thank you.

What happened

I am an elementary user of Wikipedia and am not used to the different keystrokes used to initiate different commands. After talking with Cambridgebayweather on user talk and with his approval, I was supposed to turn Toronto Airpot into a redirect page to Toronto Pearson International Airport, but accidentally turned Lists of airports in the Greater Toronto Area into the redirect page. I also am not familiar with how to make a redirect page. I meant punching in #REDIRECT Toronto Pearson Inter national Airport but instead did ##REDIRECT Toronto Pearson International Airport. I AM not familar to WIkipedia and would hope that Wikipedia acknowledges this as a mistake that I made. I CORRECTED LIST OF AIRPOTS IN GREATER TORONTO AREA TO ITS ORIGINAL STATE AND CHANGED TORONTO AIRPORT.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation in this matter.

I\'d say that when three quarters of a page is liberal opinion on percieved controversies, it\'s not vandalism to delete that. There is next to nothing on this man\'s entire journalism career, but most of the page is criticism of him that millions of people don\'t agree with. There should be a mention of criticism to be fair, but a listing of URL\'s to those stories would be much more fair than to load his entire page with them. Most of the liberal journalists I\'ve looked up on here have no criticisms listed at all. Why is that?

I blanked the page because there is a film titled Renegade. It\'s on TV right now. I went to see what I could find out about it on the wiki and I was redirected to a page about a different film. So I decided to delete the redirect, but I don\'t have any info to put about the correct film. I\'ll look up the imdb page now. Hmmm... apparently the film also has the title of Blueberry, but it is known as Renegade in the US. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0276830/

The original author is copying verbatim text from this site: http://www.crimelibrary.com/gangsters_outlaws/cops_others/randy_weaver/16.html

Please take a look at the talk page for the article, and then take a look at the F-Units section in the article.

You have a crackpot editor who\'s promoting his own wacky self-replication \"patent\" on a page with a nonsensical blurb bigger than the rest of the page. You have disgruntled people who have made notes in the talk page for the article saying they are losing trust in the wikipedia system. Now this bot is preventing a revert of the crackpot section.

I have a limited amount of interest in wikipedia - in the end, if it\'s fundamentally broken (as it seems to be), then so be it. I guess what I\'m saying is that this is my last attempt to \"help the system\" in this case by trying to explain myself.

Thank you, digizen

This guy is not in anyway in league with the people listed in the category. If you type his name into google you will get a page he made himself providing vague credentials. He is just keeping this wiki as a way to support that page. Beyond the two titles nothing will be related to his name as the other people in the category have. Each of them have active news articles and multiple connections on wikipedia.

What happened

Hello - I\'m trying to edit the article on Nagpur Airport, and I had some changes and hidden comments deleted by the ClueBot. I will admit that I am brand new to actually using Wikipedia so I\'m not sure how exactly to go about this, and I would appreciate any assistance! I do think ClueBot\'s changes are a false alarm - I am definitely not trying to vandalize this article. Thanks!

It was edit to a history section, by removing entire chunks of story information I cleaned up the segment to include only history. Besides, the section is massive, it needs cleaning up.

I reverted the page back to the last saved version. Spell-checked article, placed link to McDonald\'s. Each time I would check the article for revision they would put the false warning sign back up again. There are at least 3 users fighting over this opinion based article at this very minute. They popped up in the middle of my edits, which is probably what caused the error.

If you compare the first version of this article to what is there now, it appears as if the promotion of the bullshido.net website is the motive for the many re-edits.

Definately NOT vandalism. The article read \"She first attended a public school, where she was labeled as a hoar by an ex-boyfriend.\" \"Hoar\" is from Dungeons and Dragons. The (demi)-god of revenge, retribution, and poetic justice. Obviously, this was vandalism, and the correct term was \"whore\" referring to a prostitute or otherwise sexually promiscuous girl/woman (and less frequently men). This is common language in schools. All I did was revert the vandalism.

Secondly, someone else made the same change the next day and was not reverted. This kind of sillyness is why I hardly bother with wikipedia anymore.

What happened

This instance happened due to my mistake. I placed my information on Peisistratos on the wrong page initially. The page I altered was meant, I believe, to be used for general information regarding historical figures named, or name resembling, Peisistratos. I found a separate page later that was pointed specifically at the figure I was focusing on. I therefore deleted the information that I had placed on the wrong page (which resulted in my citation) and reverted the page to how it should look, and am now intending to place my work in its proper page, which still needs some work.

Sorry for the inconvenience, Karl Gilbertson

The actor mentioned in this article is totally unknown to public and he is only found in mock e-mails and Orkut. I feel this article is an insult to Wikipedia\'s noble intention i.e to spread knowledge. This is wasting the server and space where good, knowledge sharing article can be posted. Someone has created this article because of personal reason. Sam Anderson is NOT a popular figure and he does not deserve a page in Wikipedia.
