[edit]In Germany, women can have an abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. There are rules they must follow.
-They need to talk with a counselor and have a doctor help them.

- During World War II rules were different
- After the war, both East and West Germany had tough laws against abortion.
- In 1976 West Germany made changes
- allowing abortions up to 12 weeks with counseling.
- 1992 there were new rules permitted first trimester abortions with counseling and a waiting period.
-Recent changes in 2022 made it easier for doctors to share abortion details online.

That being said, the article talks about abortion, but it could talk more about how the laws affect people who might have a harder time getting abortions.
