Calidum

[edit]

@Meltdown627: Did you intend to change the scope of the template? It seems like this now includes accidents that happened in the Soviet era that were outside of rhe Russian SSR. @Calidum: I intended this template to cover only Russia, but Russia in any era (pre-Soviet, Soviet Union, and outside the Soviet Union). Otherwise it IMO gets odd as it includes accidents in pre-breakup areas but not those in the same areas after the breakup.

I wanted to make a separate template just for the Soviet Union that included all SSRs. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:18, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why I was pinged. My only edit to the template was to change a link following a move request I closed [1] Calidum 04:32, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Split proposal

[edit]

This navbox is quite long. I would propose splitting it into the Soviet Union and Russia, at least, or by decade like the equivalent United States templates. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:22, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging WhisperToMe, who has been adding to this template recently. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:23, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: I'm fine with splitting this between Soviet Union and post-1991 Russia. The French Wikipedia's template has only Russia SSR and post-1991 Russia, but if we find more accidents, it may help to organize it as Soviet and post-Soviet Russia only. @WhisperToMe: Great! I've split them and am working through the affected articles now. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 14:54, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@The ed17@WhisperToMe I'd like to invite you guys to my userpage where I have proposed a further splitting of Soviet, Russian, and alongside them, British aviation accidents and incidents. Tell me what you think and if we should implement this change. DemocracyDeprivationDisorder (talk) 16:04, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
