This is a 5x expansion, not a new creation, but that's OK, andIt's within date. Second QPQ is OK. No disambigs, and external links are OK. Re the hook: the English-language reference (citation #2) appended to that statement in the article does not mention the school at all. Citation #1 ought to support the hook, then - but it is in Russian, and when I translate it using Google Translate, it says: "he founded his own money free Stroganov school of drawing" - i.e. it would appear that he was not necessarily using his own money, but that it was his own school and that attendance for students was money-free, i.e. the school did not charge tuition fees. So if you speak Russian, please clarify the translation - Google Translate is not perfect. Also citation #1 does not appear to say that it was the first art school in Russia. If, however, the Russian-language citation does in fact support the hook, then to match the wording of the article you need to change the hook to add "in Russia" and to remove the word "in". Better still, you could add an Alt 1, saying simply that he founded the (named) art school, because citation #1 appears to support that.Re the images: as I understand it, it is against WP policy to box in text with an image on left and right of it. I would suggest that you keep the beautiful right-hand image where it is, and place the other image below the text as a thumbnail. Alternatively, remove the size parameter of both images so that they revert to thumbnails, and place the old-man image further down in the text.- This is a worthwhile biography of a notable subject (well done), and it deserves a DYK nom -
we just need to sort out the details. --Storye book (talk) 17:33, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

OK--first things first: In regards to the part about him founding that art school, here is the specific part of the Russian language article which discusses this: "В 1825 г. он на свои деньги основал бесплатную Строгановскую школу рисования, в которой училось искусствам и ремеслам 360 человек, в том числе и бедные дети горожан и крепостные." I myself can read Russian fluently, albeit very slowly. Anyway, there is a tough translation of this: "In the year 1825, he, using his own money, founded the free Stroganov school of drawing, in which 360 people were taught arts and crafts; these 360 people included poor city-dwelling children and serfs." The last part here was a little difficult to translate for me, but I am pretty sure that I translated that part about him using his own money to found this school correctly. Someone else here can double-check me on this if necessary. Futurist110 (talk) 20:38, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- I have now added an additional source for the first art academy in Russia part, and reworded this part a little. In addition, I have tried fixing the images here. Please tell me if I need to do anything else for this DYK? nomination of mine. Thank you very much. Futurist110 (talk) 02:09, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the explanation about the translation, and for sorting out the images and tidying up the original hook. Good to go, now. --Storye book (talk) 06:54, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
