Psilocybe cyanescens
[edit]- ... that approximately 100,000 psychedelic Psilocybe cyanescens mushrooms (pictured) were once found growing on a racetrack?
- Reviewed: Review requirement doesn't apply to me; I have no previous DYK's.
- Comment: DYKCheck.js isn't saying it passes right now - I think this is because there was a previous edit years ago that added in a lot (3.2k words worth) of non-sourced non-wikified content that was totally deleted. The article is at slightly more than 5x expansion of (the character count of) prose content since August 27th, though - presumably, an old set of bad edits won't count against it. I'm not done editing it yet - the prose could be prettier and the sections should probably be rearranged a bit - but wanted to make sure I got this nom up before the dyk window was done.

- 5x expansion and date check out. Hook is supported by source and is interesting. I added the PD picture, bolded/italicized article link, linked racetrack to horse racing and added word "approximately" to better reflect source. No copyvio in the sources I could locate online. Close paraphrasing is minimal with a few phrases like "racetrack in the south of England" close to source. Froggerlaura (talk) 01:47, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
