Njai

[edit]
  • ... that the njai were also known as "furniture", "mouths", "strings", and "dictionaries", and could be found in literature and film?
  • ALT1 ... that the Dutch East Indies company attempted to eliminate the njai by importing orphaned girls from the Netherlands?

  • Crisco 1492, you beat me to it again. I was going to propose a hook about how the colonial rulers attempted to combat the keeping of njai by importing orphan girls from the motherland... Drmies (talk) 05:01, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Fair point, fair point. Will add as an alt. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 08:23, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Length, date fine. All non-lead paragraphs have refs; all refs appears to be RS. No apparent paraphrasing issues. QPQ done. One issue: the sentence regarding orphans is lacking an inline citation so couldn't verify ALT1 yet (I prefer that hook). --Rosiestep (talk) 06:08, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
  • AGF that the hook's offline ref verifies ALT1. GTG. --Rosiestep (talk) 15:41, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
