Marmaduke Constable (died 1545)
[edit]- ... that Sir Marmaduke Constable was the great-grandfather of the poet, Henry Constable, author of Diana, one of the first English sonnet sequences?

- Almost. The article is long enough and new enough, and there are adequate inline citations. Found no copyvios relative to the online sources; the phrase about Drax Priory is a bit closer to the last external link than I would like but in itself I think is acceptable, and I can't think of an alternative to accurately relay that information, and that may be a coincidence since the article uses different inline sources for the information). I can AGF on the hook fact about being the great-grandfather of Henry Constable. However, the part about Henry Constable being the author of Diana is not mentioned in the article (and is not sourced in the article about Henry Constable). That needs to be mentioned in the article with an inline citation in order to be included in the hook. Rlendog (talk) 02:56, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've changed the link in the DYK submission so that it links to the Wikipedia article on sonnet sequences in which Constable's Diana is mentioned. I've also added an inline citation from Stockard to both the article on Marmaduke Constable (near the end) and the article on Henry Constable. It states that Constable's Diana was one of the first sonnet sequences. Hope that addresses the concerns. NinaGreen (talk) 07:58, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
