- The article is long enough and new enough. I assume good faith on the references that I can't access. A QPQ has been completed. The article is an orphan. The information about the images under "Below are highlights of some commonly applied algorithms." need to be referenced. SL93 (talk) 01:11, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- @SL93: Article is no longer an orphan, but still has only one article linking to it, as it was the best article to put it in. Heythereimaguy (talk) 00:44, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- Additional comment that the bolded link in the current hook is a bit of a MOS:EGG because without clicking, you would expect a link to Machine learning rather than Machine learning in earth sciences. DanCherek (talk) 18:12, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- How about this variation of hook then: Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:13, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

- @Graeme Bartlett:. I am resending this ping, because your contribs list says that you are still currently active on WP, as of today. Please see above issues? Thank you. Storye book (talk) 16:59, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- I wasn't too sure about how to do that reference, since it is telling something about the article, and is a lede for the gallery. SO what I have done is add a self reference, and added references to the image captions. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:43, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
