MELS Movement Botswana

[edit]

Created/expanded by Soman (talk). Self nom at 18:11, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Amazing name considering it was formed in the 1980s. Two things - what is a vote bank? It's not a term I know. The hook might be original research as you've taken it from the 22 votes they got in 1999 and the 292 votes they got in 2009. Has anyone else said this? • Vote bank is the base of support of an electoral party. Maybe its not a very commonly used word, feel free to suggest an alternate wording. As per the maths, it's quite straightforward, for me it wouldn't constitute OR (as there is no interpretation). --Soman (talk) 16:44, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
  • That's fine. Ref for second figure is fine, ref for first I'll AGF on. It passes x5 expansion. Classed as a stub which needs fixing. Apart from that it's good to go. Secretlondon (talk) 17:56, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
  • You mean on the talk page? that is fixed now. --Soman (talk) 18:09, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
good to go. Thanks for expanding. Secretlondon (talk) 19:42, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
I never heard of vote-bank, it redirects to votebank. I've always heard that called "voting block". So it should a) be wikilinked and b) vote-bank does not appear in the article, which I find very odd. PumpkinSky talk 18:28, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
  • I think we have opted for ALT1, thus leaving "vote-bank" out of the hook. --Soman (talk) 18:35, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Yes it's ALT1. Secretlondon (talk) 20:00, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Barring a tick, it can't be promoted. I've struck the original hook; someone who has reviewed ALT1 needs to say whether this is approved with that hook, and supply the appropriate icon. It would help to display ALT1 out at the left where it's easy to see. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:24, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
My was for alt1. Secretlondon (talk) 07:08, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
