List of colleges and universities in Michigan
[edit]- ... that according to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, the U.S. state of Michigan has seventeen baccalaureate colleges but only two tribal colleges?

5x expanded by Ruby2010 (talk). Self nominated at 01:52, 3 March 2013 (UTC).
- Article prose (but not the actual article) was expanded fivefold, so give that a pass. Long now now too. But where is this list by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching? Hawkeye7 (talk) 05:59, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't see this come up on my watchlist. There is no central Carnegie list (you have to jump around their website to put the content together). I will propose an alt hook that is more directly cited. Ruby 2010/2013 13:35, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have added an alt hook below. I'm having trouble wording, perhaps you or someone else can do better (without repeating Michigan or state?)? Ruby 2010/2013 02:46, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that the University of Michigan, founded twenty years before the Michigan Territory became a U.S. state, is Michigan's oldest university?
- ALT1 hook needs reviewing, plus everything else but article size/expansion and newness. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:13, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- 5x expansion OK, good formating, expanded in acceptable timeframe the ALT1 hook that University of Michigan is Michigan's oldest university is supported by this source The University of Michigan is about an hour away in Ann Arbor... it is the state's oldest University founded in 1817 and this source Michigan joins the Union as the 26th state on January 26, 1837 -- Esemono (talk) 08:33, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
