Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup
[edit]- ... that the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, held in honor of an independent professional wrestler who died of cancer at age 21, donates the proceeds to Florida charities in his name?
- ALT1:... that the proceeds of the 2008 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup were donated to a two-year-old child diagnosed with a rare form of cancer?
- ALT2:... that "Outlaw" Ron Bass came out of retirement to wrestle Sean Davis at the 2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup in a Texas Bullrope match?

- Ready to go. Nominated just 1 hour before the deadline (so, yes, it is within the 5 days rule). It has long lists, but the text at the lead section is long enough. A basic search for the text in google does not show other sites having it (except for an wikipedia mirror, which clearly took the content from here, and not the other way), so no copyright violations. I support the ALT2 hook Cambalachero (talk) 03:25, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, almost all of this article's sources appear to be fan websites and not reliable.--Carabinieri (talk) 09:28, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know what you mean by "fan websites". Practically all of the sources are either used in pro wrestling FA or GA articles, or former DYK nominations. SLAM! Sports and Florida newspapers specifically support the submitted DYK hooks. Can you give an example of a "fan" website being used in the article? 72.74.220.238 (talk) 20:33, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- Online World of Wrestling.--Carabinieri (talk) 09:32, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- OWW is probably the most used pro wrestling reference on Wikipedia. Bobby Eaton and CM Punk, both featured articles, use this as a reference. 72.74.210.139 (talk) 14:40, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- Agree with the IP, I've seen it used dozens of times. Crisco 1492 (talk) 08:45, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- ALT1 is sourced to Tampa Bay Times, article meets all criteria outlined at WP:DYK. I'd also say that ALT1 is the most interesting. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 00:17, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
