ALT1: ... that Romanian politician George Mârzescu became an assassination target when he paved the way for Jews to gain citizenship? Moswento (talk | contribs) 11:55, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
  • For both the original and ALT 1, though I must say I would much rather have the original: it's juicier, in that it shows that Mârzescu dealt with both the reds and the browns (well, greens in this case). The rest: length, date, interest and phrasing all check out nicely. The format of some notes could be improved a tiny bit, but by no means is this an invalidating issue - and I for one commend the author for putting up such fluent and informative articles at such an impressive rate. • The original hook, at 202 characters, exceeds the length requirement, so I'm striking it out. ALT1 may not be as juicy, but it's legal. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:07, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Fair enough. It didn't cross my mind to check, so I guess striking it out is for the better. Dahn (talk) 01:42, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
  • How about a combination of the two as an ALT2 or ALT3, depending on which assassination phraseology you prefer, which both come in at 172 characters (you mostly lose the name of the assassin, but regain the Communists):
  • I'm fine with either. Thank you! Dahn (talk) 12:26, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
  • You're welcome; glad you like 'em. We'll let the person who promotes the hook to a prep area decide which of the two reads best. :-) BlueMoonset (talk) 12:39, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
