Gennaro Bizzarro
[edit]- ... that Connecticut has a Bizzarro new state senator?

- Typically this would not be NPOV. If I attempt to replace "Bizzaro" with any other surname it doesn't make sense (e.g. "that Connecticut has a Smith new state senator"). However, based on my reading of the criteria for the April 1 hooks I believe this is suitable on that day alone. The article, created today, is new enough. By my count, inclusive of spaces, this is just over 1500 characters. No obvious copyvio. Article is NPOV and hook is, undoubtedly, interesting without exception! No image to judge. Hook is inline cited to the New Britain Herald, which is RS. Once the QPQ is done this is good. Chetsford (talk) 03:13, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- If we're going for April 1st humor, surely "... that Bizzarro serves in the Connecticut senate?" is a lot funnier? Vanamonde (Talk) 23:08, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
Suggested alt: that the Connecticut Senate has a bizzarro member? - Also, please remember that proper names can be decapitalized on April Fool's to enhance the deception - this principle seems to have been forgotten with many of the noms this year. Gatoclass (talk) 08:17, 20 March 2019 (UTC). Perhaps I should add, I think Vanamonde's hook is fine too. Gatoclass (talk) 02:10, 21 March 2019 (UTC).
