Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (pilot)

[edit]
  • ... that a gay British prince died fighting on the side of Nazi Germany despite loathing Hitler and the Nazi Party?
Source: "... war Hubertus homosexuell ..." [1], "Hubertus... was Prince of Great Britan and Ireland..." (Burke), "Hubertus... joined the German Army in World War II. In 1943 he was killed in action..." [2], "Er haßte das aufkommende Bonzentum der Nazis genauso wie seine Mutter." (Priesner)
  • ALT1: ... that a gay former British prince died fighting on the side of Nazi Germany despite loathing Hitler and the Nazi Party?

  • Not reviewing but I don't think you can call him a British prince as he wasn't one at the time since the title had been stripped of him in 1917. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:25, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
  • That was my concern too, The C of E. "Former British prince" is the alternative. Surtsicna (talk) 10:35, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
  • That hook caught my attention. Definitely interesting. Article is almost ten years old, but 5x expansion completed prior to nomination. The article is well sourced and the hook fact is cited inline. AGF on the German language sources. I added the word "former" to the hook as mentioned above by The C of E. Good to go. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:49, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
