Eretz Hadasha

[edit]
  • ... that the minor Israeli political party Eretz Hadasha ran a video series alleging, among other things, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu carried money in his socks, and in response Netanyahu's bureau threatened to sue the party for libel?

  • The article was new enough when listed, and at a glance is long enough. The hook is too long, 242 characters. However that is a minor point.
a) The hook contains contentious BLP material.
b) One of the people in the hook is threatening to sue the other over the allegation in the hook.
c) The hook, and indeed the entire article are sourced in Hebrew.
I personally don't think we want contentious BLP wp:GOSSIP which may be the subject of libel action on the main page of Wikipedia. Martin451 (talk) 17:30, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough. Although I think the hook completely satisfies WP:BLP, I can see why you wouldn't want it on the main page. We can make something much more neutral though, but much less interesting:

  • This hook is neutral, and cited in the article. However as you say, it is a lot less interesting, the only think I could think of would be to mention being party with second most page views on Hebrew wiki, but Wikipedia does not like self references. Martin451 (talk) 14:14, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
