- I don't think this is ready. It has two cleanup tags and is practically entirely quotes. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 22:40, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- ALT ... that the sign language interpreter for the state memorial service of Nelson Mandela made meaningless hand gestures that did not reflect established signs? Tentinator 08:05, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- I believe this article has already been ITN on December 10, which would make it ineligible for DYK — Maile (talk) 15:44, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Death and state funeral of Nelson Mandela was never a featured ITN article. Wikipedia:Main Page history/2013 December 10 Tentinator 16:51, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
Date, length and hook all OK. I think the original is quite boring and the Alt is better so it's good to go for ALT. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 22:16, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- This article has already been viewed more than 56k times. Let's give the exposure to another article. In the spirit of the ITN rule, I would decline promoting this nom to the prep area. Furthermore, the article was developed by many contributors. The {DYKmake} credit should be given to more than just one user. This needs to be sorted out beforehand if we are really bringing this article back to MainPage. --PFHLai (talk) 02:37, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
