Cherry on Top (Bini song)
- ... that the music video of Cherry on Top reached over 2 million views within 24 hours and hit number one on YouTube Philippines for music and iTunes chart?
- Source: ABS-CBN News
- ALT1: ... that Cherry on Top was featured on the halftime show of NBA by the Clippers Spirit, the official dance team of Los Angeles Clippers? Source: ABS-CBN News
- ALT2: ... that the Filipino girl group Bini (pictured) was the first P-pop group to perform Cherry on Top at KCON music festival? Source: The Manila Times

- Cheers for the DYK and GAN! By WP:DYKPBR, the song being featured on the NBA should be in the article if we choose (ALT1). I can't choose and make a review among the three since I was the GA reviewer for this article. RFNirmala (talk) 04:48, 1 December 2024 (UTC).
- I'll take a look at this one. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 06:12, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

Overall: Looks good to me. Newly minted GA, and the DYK was timely filed. Earwig comes back clean, and the only real thing that stood out as a potential red flag was the WP:BROADWAYWORLD sources, but I don't think the article relies on any of them alone for any particular fact. Alt2 seems uninteresting (it is entirely expected that the group who wrote the song was the first one to perform it at a particular festival), while the Alt0 and Alt1 hook seem workable. There is a small mistake in Alt1 (The Clippers Spirit, a official dance team... should be the Clippers Spirit, the official dance team...
, since the official name is "Clippers Spirit" and it's the official dance team), but I don't think that's a reason to hold this up, since that can be trivially fixed prior to promotion and after you read this comment. I'm inclined to go with Alt1 here after the fix is made, in line with the nominator's request. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 06:12, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Red! Thanks for looking at this DYK nom. I noticed your feedback for Alt2. Yes, an artist or a group is expected to perform their new song at a festival. However, the KCON festival is different from ordinary festivals. KCON is regarded as the world's largest convention and music festival for K-pop culture,[1] which features performances from various K-pop acts. Bini, on the other hand, is a Filipino group, and their performance in KCON was actually regarded by many sources as a historic milestone for the entire Philippine pop music community since they were the first Filipino act to ever perform in such a big festival as KCON (which is mainly for K-pop culture).[2][3]AstrooKai (Talk) 09:48, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Red-tailed hawk, I don't think that need to change the section of Critical Reception because Gabriel Saulog of Billboard Philippines is giving a reaction on the song of Cherry on Top as well as to Hans Carbonilla of Philippine Daily Inquirer. Royiswariii Talk! 10:24, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Well, if it ain't in the article, we can't use Alt1. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 17:07, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- @AstrooKai: The way you've phrased it, and the way the article has it
Later that month, on July 27, Bini performed the song at KCON 2024 in Los Angeles, which marked the first act by a Filipino pop group at the event
seems more interesting; the way that the current alt was phrased isn't. Therefore, I'll propose Alt4:...that Bini performed "Cherry on Top" at KCON 2024, marking the first act by a Filipino pop group at the event
— Red-tailed hawk (nest) 17:07, 1 December 2024 (UTC)- That is perfectly okay to me. What do you think, Royiswariii? AstrooKai (Talk) 17:19, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Red-tailed hawk!
(The Clippers Spirit, a official dance team... should be the Clippers Spirit, the official dance team..., since the official name is "Clippers Spirit" and it's the official dance team)
- Done Royiswariii Talk! 07:24, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, @Royiswariii: Can you add reference to the dance team to the article? The cited fact has to be in the article; it is for Alt0, but I had forgot to check that for Alt1 until now. We can't run this if the hook fact isn't in the article. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 07:28, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
Red-tailed hawk, what section should I add the featured halftime show? Royiswariii Talk! 07:58, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe change "critical reception" to "reception" and then add it there? It's not super simple to fit in based on current sectioning, but if you had a section that included both critics and general popular reception it would fit right in. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 08:23, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
