Carl Russ
[edit]- ... that Carl Russ (No. 33 pictured) started as a walk-on and became the starting wide linebacker for Michigan football teams that had a record of 20–1–1?

- New article meets size requirements, hook checks out, and article looks fine. Being that the picture is black and white, and it shows more than Russ, it's hard to make him out at the small size without clicking on the picture. I'd either crop the picture to just show him and upper body of the QB, or not use it for the DYK.—Bagumba (talk) 22:23, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- Article is new enough and long enough. The hook is sourced and the (cropped) image is in the public domain. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:30, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
