Tarrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان تاررود) is in the Central District of Damavand County, Tehran province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Mara.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 5,661 in 1,586 households.[5] There were 5,491 inhabitants in 1,587 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,263 in 1,948 households. The most populous of its 34 villages was Mara, with 1,081 people.[2]
