Fair use rationale for Image:Trtclogo.png

[edit]

Image:Trtclogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Use of Pinyin in article title?

[edit]

Believe I'm all for pinyin, what I'm curious to ask is that, is this name Zhongxiao Fuxing the official English translateration of the Chinese name for the station? If so, is Taiwan starting to abandon Wale-Gales? 207.216.33.144 (talk) 22:16, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wade-Giles and Tongyong Pinyin are still very much alive in Taiwan. The article uses the spelling used by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation for their English translations, which usually turns out to be Hanyu Pinyin. You'll notice that alternative spellings are still used in the infoboxes for reference.
Of course, it wasn't always this way but was changed a while back to be more friendly to foreigners (e.g. Take this older photo of the East Metro Mall [1]). -Multivariable (talk) 23:32, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone know how to change all instances of Wenshan Line to Wenhu and Nangang Line to Bannan? I just tried to change a couple, but they haven't taken. And there must be an easy way to do them all at once like MS word but no idea how. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.50.34.246 (talk) 14:15, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
