I'll review this @CosXZ:.

Comments

[edit]

CosXZ, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to fail this nomination. Prose needs shaping up. But I will leave some comments:

  • The Zbrojovka Z 4, nicknamed the "Strong Four", was a small passenger car produced in 1933–1936 by the company Zbrojovka Brno. ==> The Zbrojovka Z 4, nicknamed the "Strong Four", is a small passenger car that was produced from 1933 to 1936 by the company Zbrojovka Brno.
  • "A total of 2750 cars were produced in five series" inconsistency; why is it "2750" here but "2,750 somewhere else.
  • "In the early 1930s, Zbrojovka Brno produced the Z 9 type, a car which sales results did not meet expectations." read that again

I recommend you take this to WP:GOCE, because it absolutely has the potential to be a Good Article. Best and best of luck, 750h+ 06:42, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing this article for WP:GARC, short and nice. Watch out for possible comments! 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 03:43, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here are my comments:

  • "After the Z 9 sales results", "sales results" isn't neccesary, you can remove it.
  • "prototype was designed", after was, you can add "later".
  • You can split history by history before the car and after. Before the car will be "background", and after the production, it will be history.
  • "the first series, of 500 cars, was sold out before its production" remove the commas and change where to was.
  • "which began in May 1933." what do you mean by this sentence?
  • "Between 1933 and 1936, four more production series, of successively improved versions, followed." Remove the 2nd and 3rd comma, and remove "of successively improved versions"
  • A bit confused by ref 3, isn't it supposed to link to a source?
  • "In 1934, a series of five racing cars was created" change was to were.
  • If you want, change "Technical description" to "design".
  • "The engine is equipped with battery ignition, the electrical" add "and" after the comma.
  • "In front of the front axle" can cause confusion, remove the second "front". like "In front of the axle".
  • There's a lot of information in source 5, you can add more.
  • I see this source, this source, and this source, you can add these]

Done with the review, putting this on hold, hope you can fix this and eventually promote this to a good article! 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 04:17, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from Rollinginhisgrave

[edit]

Hi, I'll add a few comments as I'm also participating in GARC.

  • using a license from the car manufacturer DKW What is this license?
  • develop a car on the same concept without using DKW's patented solutions awkward, rw
  • by a group of designers who were redundant
  • The Z 4 became the... produced in 1934 sentences are too choppy here
  • A series of five racing cars were produced in 1934 What has this got to do with it?
  • 1933-1936 use ndash
  • The lede's paraphrasing of the body is too close. WP:CLOP
  • was a success, use semicolon
  • The production of the car was terminated by a decision of -> Production was terminated by
  • chassis link
  • production from April -> produced
  • More wikilinks in the Engine and transmission section

  • I'll take this one.

Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.

Overall: From what I can tell, this looks good. Personally, I would rephrase it as "... that the Zbrojovka Z 4 (pictured) was the first Czechoslovak mass-produced car with front-wheel drive?", but it's either or. Nothing else to say, I don't think. AdoTang (talk) 02:09, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
