"Zak"
[edit]The question of WP:COMMONNAME was mentioned in AfD. I added back a citation where the BBC refers to him as "Zak Elbouzedi" quoting the team manager, plus the team web site referred to him as "Zak Elbouzedi" in announcing his signing. It seems like "Zak Elbouzedi" is an appropriate title, but it's true that the majority of web sites and news mentions have him as "Zachary Elbouzedi." Jack N. Stock (talk) 18:51, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've now seen Zak, Zac, Zack, Zach and Zachary all referring to this player. Jack N. Stock (talk) 19:57, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

Zak Elbouzedi → Zachary Elbouzedi – "Zachary Elbouzedi" is the WP:COMMONNAME; see the section above for details. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 01:51, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- It's an unusual case. When I do a web search, the "Zak Elbouzedi" gets the most hits. When I search news, "Zachary Elbouzedi" gets the most hits. Soccerway uses "Zachary Elbouzedi" and it seems to be most up-to-date with his statistics and movements. I have no objection to the move; it makes sense. Jack N. - Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. Hhhhhkohhhhh (talk) 10:16, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support primarily because the spelling of his short name is not consistent. Create them all as redirects. GiantSnowman 12:38, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support - per above and WP:COMMONNAME, no need to have an abbreviation as the title. Inter&anthro (talk) 16:20, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
