Infobox station type
[edit]@ZH8000: To answer the question in your edit summary for this reversion, "pass-through station" is ambiguous and, apparently, undefined. I understand it to mean a station at which passenger services no longer stop; readers in other parts of the world may interpret it differently. Linking the term to Passthrough is unhelpful. I cannot find a useful term at Train station. If there is not a Wikipedia link to use to describe what "pass-through" means in the way you mean, or an alternative well-understood term to use, then I will reinstate "Railway station" for the time being, although Junction station might be an informative alternative. - In German this is a Durchgangsbahnhof (literally "through station"); through station does redirect to train station. Pass-through station isn't a good English translation. The broader issue is that many of the German station types don't have direct English-language equivalents; Anglophone countries don't classify stations that way. Compare de:Kategorie:Bahnhofstyp with Category:Railway stations by type. Mackensen (talk) 11:42, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
