Baidu Baike (https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E7%8E%89%E9%97%A8%E6%B2%B9%E7%94%B0) includes much more information about Yumen than other sources (such as Britannica). Baidu Baike is also a deprecated source, and Wikipedia advises against citing it. However, I think that because this page is a relatively uncontroversial topic and the facts are well-known in China, it should be an exception to the rule.

Although more recent information and production values may be inaccurate or inflated, I think historical facts (such as the date of capture by the Communists or that Yumen produced 90% of Chinese oil during WWII) should be cited from Baidu and included in this page. If you agree with me about this, please respond to that effect and I will make the changes. If you disagree, please feel free to say so; I am (relatively) new here and am always open to advice.

As I have not received any response for the last two weeks, I will begin making the aforementioned edits soon. --Toadspike! (talk) 20:54, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
