Yoruba (disambiguation) → Yoruba – Two years and four months ago, an editor boldly moved the disambiguation page 'Yoruba' to 'Yoruba (disambiguation)' and then retargeted that page to 'Yoruba people' shortly after, without explaining their reason behind that page move or adding an edit summary afterwards, 10 and a half months later, another now indefinitely blocked sockpuppet editor retargeted the redirect page 'Yoruba' from 'Yoruba people' to 'Yoruba (disambiguation)', and 14 hours later, another user reverted that edit and then explained to them that it was an undiscussed change of WP:PT, and then suggested to them that they open an WP:RFD instead, so that's why I've made a move request here instead. Anyway, the reason I'm requesting for this disambiguation page to be moved back to its previous title is per WP:DISAMBIG, WP:NCLANG and WP:NCET; because there are also other topics with the name 'Yoruba' in their titles besides 'Yoruba people', such as 'Yoruba language', 'Yoruba alphabet', 'Yoruba architecture', 'Yoruba art', 'Yoruba calendar', 'Yoruba country', 'Yoruba cuisine', 'Yoruba culture', 'Yoruba demon', 'Yoruba literature', 'Yoruba music', 'Yoruba name', 'Yoruba national football team', 'Yoruba numerals', 'Yoruba people', 'Yoruba people in the Atlantic slave trade', 'Yoruba religion', 'Yoruba tribal marks', 'Yoruba women's clothing', 'Yorubaland', 'Yoruba (spider)', 'Yoruba Academy', 'Yoruba Americans', 'Yoruba Andabo', 'Yoruba Canadians', 'Yoruba Football Federation', 'Yoruba Girl Dancing', 'Yoruba Name Project', 'Yoruba Pinto', 'Yoruba Revolutionary Wars', 'Yoruba Richen', 'Yoruba Sign Language', and 'Yoruba Tennis Club', and to revert that previous unexplained bold move. - Support I think the most obvious primary topics would be the people and the language, though most of these would qualify as WP:PTMs and not be appropriate for a disambiguation page. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 10:48, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. I think the people are the primary topic. The primary redirect is correct. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:48, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

- Support per nom. This is also WP:CONSISTENT with other topics that have both "X language" and "X people" articles. Compare with, for example, Igbo, Zulu, Xhosa, Fula, Chewa, Bambara, Sotho, Dyula, Wolof, Kongo, Shona, Ibibio, Tsonga, Akan, Kikuyu, Sukuma, Baoulé, Kamba, Swazi, etc., all of which are disambiguation pages (and this is just looking at other Niger–Congo languages).
