Removed 'statictics [sic]' section

[edit]

I've removed the recently-added 'Yaogan satellites statictics [sic]' section from this article. Even as a heavy contributor to the page, this chart appears messy and makes little sense. If the contributor wishes to add it back, they need make clear what "35-01 ~ 05" or "27,22,19,15,8" mean for serial numbers, what "ELINT MIDDLE" and "missing number" mean for Classes, why some orbits are listed as types and others as inclination/alt pairs, and what 'number/group' and 'number of groups' mean as categories. More than anything, why does this add to understanding of the Yaogan program that isn't covered in the detailed/long-curated 'Satellites' section of the article or the infobox stats. Additionally, the author does not appear to maintain English proficiency. Overall, strongly recommend against re-inclusion. RightQuark (talk) 07:06, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This removal was somehow reverted by an anonymous Pakistani IP user as 'vandalism', who appears to take issues with the copyediting of Pakistani politics pages. That user is reminded to use the Talk page before rolling back reverts, especially since the removal of the table was justified in the above post. For the same reasons stated above, also adding that orbital position is described by apsis, periapsis, and inclination, not simple altitude and inclination, I have removed this second table. No new information appears in this table from the long-used and well-curated satellite list at the bottom of the page. RightQuark (talk) 23:07, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm guessing this was intended for an user page? Please engage in the above section if there is any further dispute. RightQuark (talk) 00:20, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
