- ... that Xie Fei, one of the thirty women participating in the Long March, was imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution? Source: see https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=22alDAAAQBAJ&pg=PA587#v=onepage&q&f=false

- Hi Kusma, I've taken a look at this one. Article created 11 December and exceeds minimum length; article is cited inline to reliable sources; I accessed one of the main sources (p587 of Wiles) and found no issue with overly close paraphrasing; hook is interesting and mentioned in the article, I can't access p586 but happy to AGF on this supporting the "30 women" part, the imprisonment I can verify from p587; a QPQ has been carried out. Not a DYK issue but did you notice Wiles p587 has some more details on her military and later career? He also states she was imprisoned for five years (1968-73), while you ahve two years (cited to Young) - Dumelow (talk) 12:10, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Dumelow! I don't know who's right about the length of imprisonment and have made it a bit less precise. I'll try to write more about her but I'm trying to cross check things with other sources (and I can't speed-read Chinese, so it is slow work). My other recent Chinese-communist-woman-who-suffered-during-the-Cultural-revolution article is in even more incomplete state, although the woman is more notable: Qian Ying (communist politician) (we only missed out on this one because of disambiguation issues that made it look like we had an article). And they were my Q and X for a certain challenge :) Happy editing, —Kusma (talk) 22:02, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Ah yes, still need to find an "X" to complete my list too! - Dumelow (talk) 22:15, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
