King or Prince?
[edit]I believe king would be a much more accurate translation. -- Ranmin 05:06, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Novel Based on Pre-Han Era
[edit]As I see the importance of the conflict between Xiang Yu and Liu Bang, I ask whether there exists any form of novel that elaborates such a scenario; and if it doesn't exist, are there any similar literature of respective relation? I give you my thanks. Exiled Ambition
While not a novel, a fictionalized version of this plays a central role in the 2012 series The Qin Empire III, currently (Oct. 2018) available with English subtitles on Netflix. The show matches this article enough that I wonder if the article was significantly written by people who saw the show and took it as a source, since the article is so deficient in sources. Of course, the show probably follows other written scources to a fair degree. Fitzhugh (talk) 05:49, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Firefly
[edit]It's mentioned that Yu's works are referenced in the Firefly episode "War Stories". There was a character, a brutal dictator, who was mentioned in that episodes and whose poetry played a role. However his name was spelt Shan Yu and there was no evidence to suggested the character was supposed to reference Xiang Yu. So I think this information should be removed or at least rewritten. Does anyone agree? 58.110.177.71 (talk) 12:54, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Clarification
[edit]'Xiang Yu's subjects sometimes address him as "Xiang Wang"...' He has been dead for 2200 years - and Xiang Liang was his elder uncle - does this mean Yu's father's elder brother? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 19:43, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
