[edit]World Cafe is also a facilitation approach used for large groups. Might need to disambiguate this term! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.93.42.133 (talk) 17:57, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I thought that too. :) SueTwo (talk) 18:20, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
On NPR online
[edit]Currently (May 6, 2014) World Cafe is not being high definition streamed from NPR at its regular 9:00am ET timeslot. Does anyone know where it went? — Preceding unsigned comment added by My Flatley (talk • contribs) 17:50, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Move proposal, April 2020
[edit]A possible move of this article (change of title) is currently being considered at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 April 9 § World Café. Biogeographist (talk) 20:44, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose merging the four Live at the World Cafe albums that currently have their separate articles (1, 2, 9, 15) into this article. Those albums individually all fail WP:NMUSIC. I suggest turning those pages into redirects and dedicating a short section on this article to the album series as a whole (which currently isn't mentioned). Pinging Another Believer who created two of those album articles many years ago. Lennart97 (talk) 10:22, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Lennart97, Sure!... which probably also means Template:Live at the World Cafe albums should be deleted. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:48, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Another Believer: Thanks for the reply! I've added a section about the series, but it's not much... I can't find any coverage of the series online. I don't think there's much value in listing examples of artists who have appeared on the albums, as the article already states that the program covers a wide range of genres. If you can expand the section in a meaningful way, please do!
- I'll wait a few days before redirecting the album articles, and then I'll also nominate the template for deletion. Lennart97 (talk) 15:24, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- I've now performed the merge and nominated the template at TfD. Lennart97 (talk) 12:42, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- I think these should all stay, but it looks like the decision was already made. --evrik (talk) 18:35, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- If you can improve those articles in such a way that they pass WP:NALBUM, with meaningful content beyond just a track listing, I encourage you to recreate them. Otherwise, I don't think there's much of a point. Lennart97 (talk) 18:54, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Evrik, I agree with Lennart97. If you can identify enough coverage to justify standalone entries, feel free to expand!, but I'm skeptical the compilations have received enough independent coverage. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:23, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
